Re: South Gallia Football 2008
Mtswngrvsg i think that this man has been around football for maybe 30 yrs, also from what i've been told speaks of players and coaches years before his time, his knowledge of the game is above avg.. So if i'm having to guess he's not as old as Moses, so i will say his age is about 49-50 yrs give or take a year. He should be able to help the coaching staff. So what do ya think am i close or do you know his age.
GO REBELS!!!!!

I think the Rebels can do good this year and hope they do because some of the games i'll be cutting it close to get to the games on time, long driving distance for me now.
So work hard when practice starts listen to the coaches and give it all ya got and it will pay off by the season's end. I know it's early to be talking about the wins and stuff like that but it will be here before you know it, on football it's never to early.
MAKE US ALL PROUD TO BE REBELS FANSGOOOOO REBELS!!!!!!

Re: South Gallia Football 2008
When the Rebels keep all player egos in check they are more than respectable. They have a fan base that is similar to much more established programs and with a few glitches have always managed to improve. No one can argue with their statistical performance. If you look at it on a graph, last year's bad season would simply be a downturn on a consistantly upward trend.
I think that they will do fine. Good luck Rebels.

SW Highlander Grad-I do not think the older new coach has ever coached any of the current kids before. You might be thinking of a different person. The last time I think he coached jr. high football was 1978 and it was not in Gallia County.
Lets get this focused on the kids where it belongs. In high school football there is always a turnover of players every year. There will be players come through that no one expects and there will always be players that do not have the year that everyone expects for one reason or the other. I believe the attitude in the program in positive and from what I am hearing from one of the new coaches the expetations are high. A lot higher than what some on this site think they will be. You have to dream before you can achieve.

All you can ever ask of the kids is to do their best and I believe these kids will give it their all. Lotsa kids lifting and getting stronger. The youngens will be baptized by fire this year. No doubt. But these young men will be ok!!!!

Re: South Gallia Football 2008
revjj i know who the one coach is the old one but i'm not going to give his name i'll let someone else tell ya who he is. But as for the other coach don't think that its a done deal yet the (boss) may have something to say about that, that's what i've been told. So maybe the Mike Stowers thing could work if someone ask him but still haven't heard of him wanting to coach football.
Hey Bballin fool have you spoke to him and has he said anything about wanting to help out down there
And are there any football players running track this year.

I THINK IF THE COACHES CAN GET JEFF TO RUN NORTH AND SOUTH AS MUCH AS HE LIKES TO RUN EAST AND WEST HE WOULD BE GOOD RUNNING BACK. THATS WHAT I THINK. COULD BE WRONG TOO. IS HE HITTING THE WEIGHTS OR DOES ANYONE KNOW.

IF I'M CORRECT THE LAST JV GAME THEY HAD LAST YEAR AGAINST POINT PLEASANT AND WON 20-6 DIDN'T HE RUN FOR SOMETHING LIKE 148YDS AND 2 TD .
Re: South Gallia Football 2008
Believe me as an ex-football coach who happens to coach track, we lift three to four times a week. And every day we do pushups and situps.
