Buckeyes win, happy about that...... But the referees were an absolute disgrace

There really seems to be a lack of quality officials out there, and these guys definately were bottom-feeders.

It honestly felt like we had to win that game 3 different times tonight. Some kids dug deep and showed some real character to overcome a lot of adversity.

My hat goes off to the kids from Wellston.......... they played hard, but man was I glad to get the HECK out of there :!: :!: :!:

was this game at welston? (if so that explains the ref situation) but when i heard about this at work i was stunned. i didnt imagine that ny would go to even one overtime with welston. did welston play that good or was ny looking ahead???

none the less the buckeyes win and the cocky fans get to live to run their mouths again (note that i am not saying all ny fans are cocky, just most. but as far as im concerned you have a pretty good reason to run it.)

i give props to both teams ny for the win. and welston for making it close.

WoW , win a tough fought game and come on here and complain about the officials. I had the footballs checked by the officials so I had a chance to talk with them .They all but one were from Columbus with no ties to either school. The other was from Greenville 3hrs away also no ties to either school. So Atown you are way out of line IMO.
Give credit where it is due . Wellston is a very good team on the verge of doing great things.Yes they are 0-4 their opponets are a combined 14-2 .These kids played their butts off last night and could have won the game but didnt . We now must pick up the pieces and get these kids ready for a tough road game at Belpre.
I also would like to thank the Jackson fans on here for your support of the Rockets it shows even though you have a big win advantage you atleast still have respect for us.

Keep you heads up boys you will get over the hump :!:

Boilermaker,
seems like people have a hard time complementing Wellston's players on here. It seems like people want to make some kind of excuse. All well, let them do it, maybe other teams will read it and help you catch teams off guard. It would not surprise me one bit if they finish 6-4. Still a great season with a tough schedule.

Great game from the Buckeyes. Just got done watching it on 15. The Buckeyes had their tail back out at the end of the game their FB lost in week 1 and a starting tackle out a starting wide out, out of the game and they contiune to win. Great win Buckeyes. I talked to an NY coach this week and he told me that Wellston was one of the top teams in the TVC ohio, despite thier record they will be one of their toughest opponents. He really had good things to say about Wellstons team and their Running backs. I guess he knew what he was talking about, Wellston in a very good team. Great Game from Both teams.

Congrats to the Buckeyes on a huge win....and Kudos to Wellston you have a very talented team. I really look for Wellston to win out...I believe they have to much for any other team in the TVC to handle. and Just wondering does anyone know how Arnold is...and if he is going to be able to play against meigs????? I know he took a beaten last night
