I'll have to check on the parking, but I don't think it's anything more than $2. And gas is down to $2.16 a gallon up here today LOL.

It's easy to get to Logan Chieftain Stadium... best thing is to work your way to U.S. 33 then take the state Route 328 exit. If coming from Columbus, exit to the right on 328; if coming from Athens, exit to the left on 328. The stadium is about a quarter-mile away and you should be able to see the stadium lights from 33.

Also, for Portsmouth West fans, FYI: State Route 93 is closed about 6 miles from Logan, so if you're coming up 93 from the Jackson area take State Route 56 (about 14 miles from Logan) to the right, go about four or five miles to state Route 328, and turn left. You'll go through Union Furnace and the stadium will be about four miles north of there.

I hope all of you have a safe trip and that you enjoy the game and our new facilities. We're pretty proud of them.

55 miles for Bishop Ready - Right around 1 hour driving time
105 miles for Portsmouth West - Right around 2 hour driving time

No big deal...just something to fire our boys up. You boys need to play harder than you've played all season. That's a long bus ride home if it happens to be the last!

LET'S GOOOOO WEEEEEESSST!!!

I know that Logan's Field is Brand New and a very nice facility but WEST just got shafted. We are the number 1 seed in the region and we have to travel 88 miles to Logan and Columubs Bishop Ready at the 5 seed only has to drive 54 miles.

The OHSAA hates Southern Ohio Football!

GO SOC!

GOOD LUCK TO MY SIDERS!

Got these from LOGANLOCOS Preview.

Very nice facilities. This should be a great venue for a little HS Football.

Well Madd Dog, you better hope we can. Because if we can't your Wheelersburg team sure isnt going to. The Burg knows that if we both win at least you guys have a shot at playing with the team in the Regional Finals.

As for the distance to Logan. I myself embrace it. As a fan I enjoy the road trips, and I like to watch West play in stadiums they never have before.

New Lexington
Lancaster
Ironton (we been there many times)
Zanesville
Massilon

Now we can add Logan to the list. Then hopefully Athens if we can squeak out a win. ;-)

Yeah right...just because West beat Wheelersburg doesnt mean that my Pirates cant beat any team West might lose to...each team brings something different to each game. You never really know what might happen.

Let me complain like most others.. Logan? What is up with OHSAA? Why do the same towns get to reap the benefits of the playoffs? Why is a number 1 seed driving farther? Sure Logan has nice facilities, but so do others in the southern part of the state. "0" respect for us. Just like the old trick they tried in 02' with the switcharoos of the regions that were playing. They always want an all north final. Coach Tressell said he would like to see the Championships back in the shoe. They have turf now. Why doesn't this happen now? The Massillon area is a dump. No matter what happens this year I say that everyone gets together and raises a stink to get the State Titles moved to Columbus. A list of Stadiums for High School Playoffs from this area should be pushed up that way also. Jackson is a good one. Valley could host, I wouldn't even mind driving to Chillicothe. How about venues like the Tank? Rock Hill. The list goes on. South point is awesome. Sorry for rambling on a post, but we say it yeaer after year, we know it is coming, and it does..... Where do we start?

You start by consistently winning playoff games and beating the teams from up North. You have to gain respect to get it. It is obvious on this pick, West got the biggest hose from any team in the South.

Just go up to Logan and show the powers to be that you can't/won't be stopped/denied, no matter what obstacle is tossed your way! ;-)

The only thing I can say is that Saturday night marks a historic occasion... this will be the FIRST-EVER neutral-site football playoff game to be played in Logan. Old Bill Sauer Field was never used as a neutral-site because, frankly, there wasn't enough room and there was no parking whatsoever.

In fact, it will be only the fourth playoff game of any kind played in Hocking County. Logan has only had three home playoff games, and the win over Dublin Jerome the other night was the first home playoff win for the Chiefs.

All we in Logan want is for people from Portsmouth West and Ready to enjoy the game and have a safe trip here and home. While Logan applied to host post-season games, it's the OHSAA's call as to what games are played here or anywhere else.
