D IV R15 Qtrs: Ironton (6-4) at Amanda- Clearcreek (8-2)
Re: D IV R15 Qtrs: Ironton (6-4) at Amanda- Clearcreek (8-2)
Ironton tackles well and block like they are able it can be a long night for AC.
This is a very good Ironton team that truly never got blown out of any game this year and they are battle tested and have the capability to make a strong run and it starts this week end.
GO TIGERS LET"S start that Tittle Run

The key to this game is will the Tigers show up. If they show up and play football they have the talent to win. If they go through the motions, fumble the ball, and just generally dont show up Amanda will beat them.

I could be wrong but my guess is to why ironton has trouble finding a good kicker is that i dont believe they are allowed to kick soccer style there. At least ive never seen an Ironton kicker kick anything but old style straight on. you would not be able to attrack a good soccer kicker from another school.

I know Clark Cooper (97-99) kicked 'soccer style' when he was there.

I'll have to consult with IAMFORREST tomorrow to get a feel for this game. My thought is it will be a close game, most likely down to the wire. I expect it to be a low scoring game and (not to quote all the cliche's) the team that makes the least mistakes will win. Prediction ? Folks will see a good game.

I know one thing if Ironton gives Amanda as many presents as they gave Portsmouth, it will be a really long night for my Tigers.

I'm pretty sure Amanda-Clearcreek knows what smashmouth football is all about. They've been playing it quite successfully for years.

Theres not a lot to discuss. Its a big game between two great programs that people have wanted to see for a long time. Both teams are smashmouth heres what we are running we dare you to stop us offenses with run stopping big hit defenses. Really they are mirror images if each other and the game will boil down the to two basic cliches that all big games boil down to a. Team that makes the least amount of mistakes and b. the team that can win the battle upfront will advance in the playoffs while the loser gets ready for basketball season.
