Wheelersburg is definatly the favorite 1. playing at home 2. Valley has no beat burg in forever. But I do think Valley has a chance to win they must 1. play flawless on special teams 2. cause some turnovers to have a chance.

................

3. not give up quick scores

4. contain the run ( bend don't break)

5. get over the TD phobia plaguing this team for years

6. pass protect

7. don't settle for nothing less than a win

8. Above all else, go out have fun and hit someone on every play, because the Burg will certainly hit you.

Wheelersburg is a much more talented team but they have had some difficulty playing on the road this year. I think Valley will come to play. They'll come out pumped and ready to go but I think Burg wins in a close one. However Zach Utley should make things interesting, he is the 2nd best QB in the SOC II, next to Derreck Roback. Alot is riding on this game: the SOC, a playoff spot, and Valley wants to gain some respect from Burg.
Final Score: 27-24 Burg wins from last second field goal.
I can't wait to watch it!

Yes, scarlet_gray, you are correct in that Burg has had some trouble playing on the road, but this game is at the Burg.

This game has alot on the line for it. Both teams have to win out to make the playoffs. One more loss and get out the basketballs after week 10.

Annihilate-annihilate--a-n-n-i-h-i-l-a-t-e--annihilate. Just sayin...run google tool bar. They have a fantastic spell check...just sayin ;-)

Our JV team would annihilate Valley.

I'm only teasing you!

Your JV team could possibly beat us soundly, considering about 8 sophs/fresh start varsity.

I beg to differ on that. I havent been impressed with robak since he was WR for Trevor Walls and Utley is good but holds on to the ball to long. IMO Aaron Oesch has performed the best out of all the quarterbacks this year. BUT to get back on topic. If Valley can just get over that stupid TD bug then this game could be different but if wheelersburg scores first I think this game could get ugly quick but hoping for a good game friday

I think it is going tt be a 28-0 ballgame to the winners Burg.
Burg is very quick this year and speeds kills as we all know.

Valley has speed also. Maybe not as much team speed but are pretty quick. I like Burg's line play over theirs. With their LB out with injury i look for them to be weak in that area. Burg must go back to week 3 to impress me again, if they do this wont be close , if they don't, well flip a quarter to see who wins.

Burg 35
Valley 7...... If Good Burg team shows up, if not Burg gets round balls out early.

Dude, you need to stick with kickball predictions. The Pirates haven't given up 35 points all year, not even to Ironton. I don't see them giving up 35 to the Indians either, especially since they have that stigma of not scoring a TD on the Pirates since Reagan was the President. :-D

Thats not an accurate statement. A few years back burg-valley went to OT (Valley led 13-0 @ half) so, they have scored TD's on Burg.

I'm telling you right now:

This is a playoff game for both teams. The winner moves a step closer to the playoffs, the loser is finished baring a lot of help from other teams.
The Burg can't afford to overlook Valley; the Indians have a solid football team and they will come to play. They can hurt you in a lot of ways on offense both on the ground and through the air.

I think the Burg will win, but they better be ready to face a darn good team.

It was 2002 Final ended as 27-26.

From 2003-2008
Burg has outscored Valley 167-3!!
WOW!!!!
I know that this is already known, but just seeing that stat raises some brows!
Valley needs to get out the 20 yrd line slump. and come in with a new attitude.
Don't come in with a hot head thinking you are gonna destroy or beat the Burg. Cause when they do that and Burg gains momentum on Big plays that brings the teams morale down and then they did to lay down.

Come in and know that you can play on the same level and give them a Run for there money. SO when they score you know that you can do the same also!

Sounds good at least. Now go out there and LOSE!!
GO BURG!!
Keep that TD Streak alive!!
Burg trying to secure a playoff spot here and beats Valley like they did Portsmouth!
