Actually He's not, I'd post My opinion but it would just disappear like alot of My other posts on the Subject............people are just starting to ignore Him in hopes that He'll go away just like the other guy from Logan did. With Logans woes this year He seemed to have disappeared unlike Paladin.friday_nite_fan wrote:Looks like you're alone on this one Red.

I personally think all of this arguing is pointless. It's obvious that we know how he feels about us, and that he knows how most of us feel about him. The fact is, that until we do things to cause his opinion to change, this is what we're going to continue to get.
Keep up the picks Paladin.

Yeah, I'm not going to leave Red hanging either. While I am smart enough to know Paladin in correct on his football theories (north does dominate the south), I do agree with Red more. Paladin needs to learn to be more tactful. The same point could have been made without all the insults to those of us who were born and raised here.

Football fan....Great post....The most honest, knowledgable, and precise thing I have ever read on here...You nailed it.

Re: Paladin's Pigskin Picks --Wk 12
Friday nite scores are in and I went 7-1 on those picks. Saturday nite games to come . The winners --
D-II
Mentor Lake Catholic bombs Warren Howland 24-7, Maple Hts. destroys Sandusky 61-27 and Uniontown Lake takes Tri-Valley 42-28.
D-IV
Kettering Alter whips Jonathon Alder 28-14 and Akron Manchester beats Campbell Memorial 52-21.
D-VI
Shadyside pounds Malvern 41-20 and Delphos St. Johns butt kicks Ada 42-14.
The only loser tonite was in D-IV, Hartley beating Heath 39-26. BTW, all #1 seeds in D-II are now gone.
That runs the season picks record to 59-18.
I saw the D-IV game between Chagrin Falls & Cortland Lakeview where the Tigers won 54-28. The Falls , who played in last years D-IV Champ game are every bit as good again this year and probably better. Tremendous team speed, lots of skill, balanced attack and a quick, punishing D. They have an excellent chance at getting back to the Champ game and may win it.

I'm stunned Marion-Franklin lost tonight! Thought they would be a shoe-in to win reg.7,,,,,typical city league team never know how they'll play
I like most of your picks but I think Glenville(who is no typical city team) will take Eds and maybe easy, the easy league schedule shouldn't bother them because if you look at their first 4 games they played a probable Florida State Champ a top 5 Indiana big school and whipped up on Anderson who is no slouch in Cincy,so I don't think the step up will bother them although I would love to see them lose!

After seeing how well Tri-Valley hung with Lake I'm going to proceed to make to take the point spread for SHS & Dover from 14 to 21.
Sheridan 42
Dover 21
Sheridan 42
Dover 21

Culver said this will be the best QB they seen all year by far,,over 3000 yards passing and 500 yards rushing,,sounds like the Generals defense will have their work cut out for them and this could be a shootout with the last team to have the ball will win....
Re: Paladin's Pigskin Picks --Wk 12
Maple Heights is definitely the fastest team I've watched all year. I don't really know how they stack up against other D2 teams but I have to think they're a serious contender. Wow!

Not the best QB(Toothman from Salem was that) but the most pass happy/efficient team by far.C-Bolt wrote:Culver said this will be the best QB they seen all year by far,,over 3000 yards passing and 500 yards rushing,,sounds like the Generals defense will have their work cut out for them and this could be a shootout with the last team to have the ball will win....

Saturday scores are in and I went 6-1 on those picks , running my pick record to 65-19. The winners--
D-I
Lakewood St. Eds blasted Cleveland Glenville 42-22 and Pickerington Central stomped Westerville South 30-0
D-III
Columbus Watterson whipped Elida 21-7
D-V
Youngstown Ursuline kicked the dog crap out of Creston Norwayne 42-0, Fredericktown beats up on Wheelersburg 36-13 and Oak Hill beats Minford 31-27.
The only loser tonite was D-III Dover edging Sheridan in OT 34-28.
Next week is the regional finals. Excellent games coming up.
After going to the YSU game today, I passed on going to the Solon-Fitch game and watched the Glenville -Eds game instead which was competitve for awhile. Turns out it was the better game as Solon blasted Fitch. Which games I'll see next week is up in the air. As of this week's scores, all my choices to win State titles are still in tact.

You are right Bleeding Red. I have no problem with his opinions, but he downgrades kids constantly. That is all I need to know about the man. Who really needs to know anything else? Don't know that man, but he seems as arrogant as any person on here. He is one of those people who is always right. We have all met people like them. Even someone who knows him calls him "an alright guy." What a glowing endorsement of the guy!Bleeding Red wrote:
I know alot of high school coaches, even coached myself (not football), and I am yet to see a former high school coach put down schools and kids the way you do.

mercerville monster wrote:Good Post!Paladin is an alright guy....Why isn't he entitled to his opinion? Every post he reads from down here is, the NW cheat, they recruit, they cherry pick their team, etc...but yet not one shred of evidence surrporting the claim....SPECIFICS??? Aren't many teams in SEO doing the same thing? The talent pool from SEO doesn't come close to the talent pool in the other regions of the state....Those regions will send several D1 players from a team to play bigtime colllege ball....We are lucky in SEO if we send one D1 player to the bigs from the entire region, let alone several from one team...Then you get guys start calling out facts making themselves look stupid and before you know it we have the mafia from the north lookng to beat A$$ over the whiskey runners in the South...A good ole Hatfield and McCoy type blood bath! When it invariably settles, the FACTS haven't changed...THe NE is better than the SE...Cant deny it...It is what it is? Enjoy the coffee, candy and popcorm for the outcome of the game has been predetermined....Just learn the waltz while you are here.....Act like you have been here before! IN other word, show more class in defeat than in victory!
Bleeding Red, you're ate up with it.
No, no I am not. I will just downgrade Paladin as long as he downgrades kids. There is no reason for what he is saying about all of the fine people here in the "armpit".
I agree with his picks most of the time. I am sure he has a ton of insight on high school football. But these are KIDS. There are PARENTS that get on here and read his arrogant comments putting down THEIR kids. Do you have kids Mercerville? Does he put them down? Are you happy about it?
All he needs to do is state his opinion with TACT and not be disrespectful. Will he? Probably not. Will I be here to lash out at him if he does it again? Absolutely.

i won't leave bleeding red hanging either. that is the problem with paladin. i've been on here almost 6 years, and i have seen all of it. from the ridicule of kids and programs , to saying a certain team, did not have fat linemen like so and so. i've fought this vigil nearly single handedly for years now. there is no room on this site for this poster, until he has some common sence and posts , and gets disciplined like anybody else here. as far as his picks i could not give a big rats butt. but the degading remarks about individuals, and communities, i'll continue to butt heads about.
Re: Paladin's Pigskin Picks --Wk 12
The Glenville -Eds game was on cable STO and showcased what is a TON of future college players for both teams. Eds won because they contained the athletes on Glenville and kept them out of sync on O. Lots of INTs & fumbles. With huge OL & DL, Eds dominates in the trenches, where most games are won or lost. Most of those kids already have verbaled to a college. I still don't see who can beat them in D-I. Glenville, losing 42-22 may have gotten closer to them than anyone in the tournament can.
BTW, Ursuline was dominating too. Alter handled Alder fairly easy. And St. John ? With Marion Local beat, I see no one who gives them a game.
