I will give you hannan that team is terrible. Buffalo is a decent team that at the time wahama played them was rated 4th in the small school division in wv. I would love to see them drop hannan and pick up a team like NY but like i mentioned earlier it will probably never happen.

Clayton Northmont was added to the list of schools with open dates in week 4.

I dont want to play any Wv schools .Ny would be better off playing Larger schools IE Logan Or Better schools in OHIO..

Right now NY is going to have to take whomever is available that week to play. It looks like for someone it is going to be a long trip. If I was Nelsonville, I would wait until after the first of the year to make any contacts or decisions, and see who is going to play who, and then make the contacts to set up a game. Maybe by then someone closer will have a game that week open up.

Good news is that we won't have to..... There are to many schools in OHIO that they can play.

Another school added to the open date list for week 4, but it's far away like most of the others.........Toledo Waite.

NY never considered Wahama an option.

Says a lot about who is scared.......I am sure the coaches at wahama would have considered you an option. BTW, we play mostly the same schedule as Trimble. You remind me a lot of someone from Point Pleasant. All they do is brag about how great they are and how they could smash smaller schools if they would play. is that what the program at NY hangs its hat on now? Dont bother with all the talk about your declining enrollment. We hearrthat out ouf Fed Hock too. Its funny that you guys make some of the same arguments Fed Hock does. maybe your program is headed the same direction as theirs. Like it or not, us "Snake eaters" beat those rutters.

Wahama has along and storied tradition in football. they now have 4 undefeated seasons. Somewhere around a dozen playoff appearances. They have been to the final four 3 times and have made one appearnce in the State Championship. They also can now lay claim to a TVC Hocking Division crown. Coach ed Cromley has over 100 career wins. They regularly make a habit of playing larger schools in nonconference games. (Athens, Leiberty raleigh, Clay County, etc.)

the 2011 version of the white falcons have many players returning. I expect them to win a bunch of games and get deep in the playoffs again. Well, I have hijacked this thread as much as i can. Now I know how it feels to be from Nelsonville.

Yes I believe they were. Trimble and Nelsonville-York are rivals so in most years that keeps the score close. Trimble plays it's hardest hitting gutsiest game of the year week 1 against NY. The truth is if Wahama and Trimble would have played week 8,9, or 10 this year then The outcome of the game would have been different. It wasn't played those weeks and the Cats took there loss and moved on..

The TRUTH! YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!.......

Go ahead and rest easy thinking Trimble played it's best against you so you can feel good about beating a mediocre team 14-6. The truth is Wahama should have beaten them much worse in week 2. The truth is Wahama got better as the year went on just like everyone else does. The truth is that if the game were played later Wahama would have blown out Trimble. And, the truth is Trimble will lose AGAIN next year.[/quote]

We played Hannan because some idiot on our school board wanted us to. Now we are out of that game and hopefully we wont have to waste our time with them ever again. But, they do have an open date and since all you guys talk about is your declining enrollment, maybe you should schedule them. Buffalo is a good program. Ohio has more teams than WV. Statistically speaking, it is probable that their would be btter teams in ohio. However, Nelsonville isnt beating those teams either so I wouldnt thump my chest too hard. I typed this slowly as I can tell you are a slow reader.....

Wahama might have looked like they played better due to the weaker schedule

So your AD does whatever the school board wanted you to?  This guy has been on the school board for a long long time..

WE don't complain about our declining enrollment because our enrollment is actually going up.

If Nelsonville -York wants to schedule a cupcake we got plenty in Ohio, No need to cross the river.

I don't speak illiterate inbread so I just tried to use small words. Hope you can read them.

Both N-Y and Wahama have good football programs and I hope both keep winning and at least making it to the playoffs yearly so we'll all have someplace to travel to watch teams that we care about. For those of us that do and have done a lot of traveling to playoff & championship games over the years it's nice going to watch Ironton, Wheelersburg etc. in the playoffs every year but when it's a team closer to home, you're an alumni , have family or know people in that district it gives you a lot better feeling than the others, especially if they win a couple of those aforesaid games.

I don't know about the computers in Nelsonville but ours have spellcheck. You should look into that. Looks like you need it. So now your enrollment is going up.....thats good.......so why is it you still want to brag about beating up on smaller schools? Are you from Athens? Sure sounds like it. BTW, we heard a story from some fans at Miller who said their kids whipped your butts in pregame warmups and you guys loaded up the bus and ran out of town before the real beating got started. Care to comment?

The Miller thing was a long time ago....There was fighting and other stuff. It was to bad it happened 2 schools should never act like that toward each other.....

What smaller schools do we brag about beating up?
Trimble is smaller than us but they are our rival.....My Spell Checker was out sleading. :12223
