As I said this game was going to be won by the Buckeyes.

One has to wonder how at the younger levels Newark Catholic seldom falls but when those same players get to the varsity level they do not fair so well?

What I took from this one.

Newark Catholic young team kill themself with stupid penalties(six tonight) and turnover(only four tonight down from six in week one)

The Green Wave still can't tackle very well this has been a problem for a few years now.

The lines continue to get manhandled.

Some good things
When they went to the spread they actaully had a decent drive.
Again though beaten and again not being in the game the players never quit.

Nelsonville York looked a lot better than last year.
Nice little passing attack(10-13)
The running game was impressive.
Play calling was very good.

Good luck Nelsonville I wish you guys a great season.

NC could definitely not handle the sweeps to either side nor the off tackle plays by Young. They were very small all around and N-Y took advantage of that for sure. The Kline kid is a big target and he'll be a big key when N-Y plays the TVC schedule and in the playoffs. IMO that kid should be used a lot more. A passing attack can do wonders, especially in DV and DVI . Mr. Dean does an admirable job guiding the offense and it seemed that two very good wrestlers (Mr. Hook and Mr. Leitwein) made tons of tackles on defense this evening. Trimble, Berne Union and Newark Catholic are 0-6 on the year and giving up an average of 37.3 points a game between them and are only scoring at a rate of 13.3 ppg average. This won't help N-Y's playoff points but big games against Bishop Ready and Athens will if they keep playing like they are. Overall good game tonight.
