Yeah, having done it on Friday night, I have to agree! Good luck to Valley!izladoom wrote:Odd that they would send us to play at the stadium of the team we just beat. I hate that drive.

It's hard to get a feel for this team from those videos since they only show their highlights. They seem fast but not that physical. They run a lot to the outside which has given us problems this year. They have a great kicker. I say we try to pound it up the middle all night and control the clock. I could see this game being a 42-40 type of game.

I have not missed a snap all season....Who exactly has "given us problems" by running wide? I guess you could say Portsmouth on some broken plays, but other than that, the teams that have ran the ball on us have done it "downhill". Piketon ran it at us. West killed the clock between the tackles in the fourth. Burg pounded us in the 2nd half inside the hashes.
I am in no way saying that Grandview will not have success on the perimeter, but to say that is where we have given up our yards this season is just not accurate.
As far as us "pounding it up the middle".... What team (with a pulse) have we done that to this season? We can run the ball, but not sure we are built to "pound" it at anyone in week 12.

Grandview Heights has an very easy drive. 315 South to 70 East to 33 to Nelsonville. It should take no Longer than hour and fifteen or an hour and thirty if your enjoying the scenery and cruising. I have made this trip hundreds of times going to the Grandview Hts Wrestling tournament. Lucasville Valley has a much tougher drive. I make it to the Schott on Lane in an hour fifteen from School. Oh and by the way I will be the guy working the TEAM gate for Teams, Officials, media and those who are on the PASS ONLY LIST. Be kind to me, LOL best of luck both team.

Crabs, against Minford I am pretty sure we ran the ball between tackles at least 30 times if not more and against NY it was the same, very conservative play calling with very few passes
again why pass when you can run right up the middle on someone?

I think Izladoom is right. West had a few big runs outside and Portsmouth did as well.Crab's brother wrote:izladoom wrote:It's hard to get a feel for this team from those videos since they only show their highlights. And I think you are wrong as well....But what do I know...I don't go to my truck at halftime, miss games to go to Red Lobster, or wear a ridiculous yellow rain suits to games.....pmow3 wrote:I think Izladoom is right. We have thrown it sparingly the last few weeks to give Rolfe time to heal.

West did not run the ball outside, both of their long runs where runs over the left side that were cut back outside because the 3rd string LB did not fill the hole correctly.

Maybe not big plays but seemed like teams just had more ypc on the outside. Since basham has been in and Howard has been out just seems like we have went up the middle more than the outside. Against Minford seemed like we hardly went outside at all.
