I think what we mean by 'fluke' is that we believe we would win the game now. As a fan its OK to believe that and you should. Burg fans should believe they would win again. I'm sure in 1999 when Burg beat Ironton early in the season the fans likely believed they could beat Ironton again and "maybe you could" but we went on to beat Germantown Valleyview who knocked the Pirates and the Trojans out of the playoffs. Then we went on to beat Mooney and barely lost the state championship on 4th and short. I believe we have the goods to make another run this year! Good luck to all of Southern Ohio and of course Go Tigers!

All this talk about the Burg theirs many facts to look at when talking about that game. Burg was the better team that night. Now everybody knows if you want to beat Ironton get them in week 1 or 2 because they get better each week. Ironton has gotten way better in the previous weeks. If tonight was Burg-Ironton wins by 21. Burg has been exposed as overrated. Irontons not playing Burg they are playing St. Charles. Ironton wins by 14 tonight. Thats your Stone Cold 6 pack of cold hard facts brought to you by Whataburger.

Not going to touch the Burg Ironton topic since it don't matter at the moment.
St. Charles will show 1 of 2 things.
1 will be did the break help Ironton focus on not committing silly penalties.
And 2 Will Ironton show they are truly better than week one and is the playoffs and making a run something to look forward to.
St. Charles record may not look great but they are still a worthy opponent and should not be looked over.
Tonight should help tell where this team is and how far it may go.
I know still have Meigs Jackson and Raceland to play and they will be tough regardless of wins or losses.
Let's GO Tigers Lets Hear You Roar.
Good Luck and may both teams come out injury free.

Ironton's Defense is sluggish and offense making silly mistakes resulting in penalties.
Ironton is trying to grind it out but St. Charles Defense is extremely quick

If they are way down I hate to see their avg teams. #5 is one of the best we've seen as far as quickness and the Qb is very good. That being said. Their run D isn't so good.

Ironton won a true Squeaker.
But what was impressive was the fact the Tigers never gave up after being down 11 the focused and played with a purpose.
They lost momentum after being off after a bye week but regrouped and won.
penalties need to be addressed but overall this is a very improved Ironton team not only from last year but the first game of the season.
5-1 three games left but the simple fact is one game.
Great game Tigers
