The OHSAA has no class what so ever and no respect for teams out of southern Ohio its all about the money For once it would be nice to accommodate the ticket paying fans instead of finding the cheapest stadium to play in ........

It is also who is willing to host a game also. They try to find a site willing to hose and easy to accomidate both schools. This may have been the best available considering Athens is playing at Logan. Other school that people think nay be better may not want to host.

Ok dude....let's be real for a minute. We came to your place last year and there wasn't enough seating to hold our fans. I just think that valley fans are used to having seating and in week 12, now we don't. Just not a fan of playing a regional semi in a stadium much smaller than our own.

NY always hosts at least one playoff game, sometimes more, every year. NY has hosted up to the Division 4 Regional Championships before. NY is one of the few schools that puts in to host a playoff game every year in southeast Ohio. You have to have the volunteers in place to pull it off.

Anyone in Divisions 4, 5, 6, or 7 should realistically expect to have a playoff game at NY because of its central location in SEOH for regional semi finals or regional finals. The OHSAA has given NY outstanding reviews for past playoff experiences. This is why NY continues to be awarded neutral site games.

Some locations mentioned here are from schools that didn't even submit a proposal to host a playoff game this year. NY always submits a proposal and always does it right. That's why NY always lands at least one playoff game every year.

At last years regional championship game there was NOT ENOUGH seating to hold the VALLEY FANS on the home side and they were packed in like sardines...................THIS PLACE SUCKS!!!!! This game shoulda been in Columbus somewhere ............................any where but NELSONVILLE !
Burg has played there a few times and I thought it was a pretty nice place. Like an above post. Be glad u guys are playin in wk 12 and not gettin ready for round ball. There is a lot of teams who would have been glad to see wk 11 let alone wk 12. Good luck to both teams
Just wait until you guys have the visitors' bleachers up there Saturday, then we will talk.

It is what it is. We can't change it. We'll just have to flood the place with purple and gold and take care of the greenwave and get out of there with a good win

Problem is there are only a few stadiums with turf if you want to have this to be held somewhere in between the two schools. If you have this at a Columbus site, some will complain about the OHSAA screwing the SE District team with travel. No win situation.

I think Hamilton township would have been the only fair Columbus site. They may have local teams up thereplsying Friday.

You guys should have the home bleachers since you are the #1 team right???? And by the way we won't be playing at NY! We will be playing at Hamilton Township!

I know what the rules are about neutral sites and turf for the second round and so on..........BUT the RULES need changed to: Highest seeded team needs to remain in control of home field site until the regional championship game, then moved to a site in the central part of the state( Columbus Area). The higher seed has earned that via their accomplishments of being as such!!! Then they need to make all the State Finals be play in Columbus as well. JMO

You're not getting it. It has nothing to do with travel distance or our kids not being happy. It is nothing to do with the people at Nelsonville or your ability to host. You have a nice facility. Our fans and our kids will go wherever. In the last 3 years this is our 8th playoff game. Our 5th on the road. We have been to Upper Arlington, Westerville Central, Reynoldsburg, and Nelsonville. I can't speak for everyone, but NY was by far my least favorite. The other facilities were no shorter trips, but the setups were much better and a lot easier to get to.

Our fans and players are excited. Just would rather give NC a 45 minute ride and play closer to Columbus.

No better way to say it crabs. Nothing against Nelsonville. Be as far as my family and I, we like to go somewhere a little bigger with nice restaurants to enjoy before or after the game. That enhances the playoff experience and makes it more enjoyable for everyone.

I just don't think the higher seed should ever have fans standing cause of stand size. I also think the away team deserves to have a seat if they want it. Oh well on to the game itself I think valley matches up well with nc. I don't see either team scoring in the 20's.

If you look at were other teams are playing the higher seed didn't have anything to do with were you play. Or weather a team is in the playoffs at a host site zanesville is hosting 2 nights
Ready goes to zanesville to play Monroe central
Hartley goes to bloom caroll to play lower seed liberty union
So everything we normally think doesn't hold true.
Logan has d3 tri valley vs Athens . I like nelsonville. But understand valley concern over seating but probaly no one else jackson chilli or Hamilton twp wanted to host.
Although those other places are not large either.
