Last I checked Burg shocked most everyone by being as good as they have been so far this year...the last I checked they were the number 1 team in the AP Rankings...I take it you were expecting them to be that good?

Ironton does have the toughest schedule in the area hands down...we don't schedule Rock Hill and Chesapeake just to get wins. We play better teams to get better. Talking to a back from Ironton the other night..he told me how much he had learned just by playing Johnson Central. Wished they could have played them earlier because it taught him those things so clearly in that game. We got beat. Yes we did..but we also learned and got better. Something we wouldn't do against weaker competition. That proved it to me.

There you go again putting words in my mouth again. I have never said anything about irontons schedule. The only comment I have made about there opponents was concerning Amanda Clearcreek and how they wasn't the team they use to be and they have proved that every week since. And yes I did think Burg was going to be that good this year go read it for yourself.

I've seen irontons jr program the last couple yrs and there doesn't appear to be much coming up. Talent isn't that great and numbers are way down.

what do you mean ? that was 1 of the better games they have played besides a few bad play calls 3rd and 7 RUN lol. 0 turnovers QB looked a lot better throwing. Johnson central is a powerhouse would give the burg everything they wanted and then some.

GO TIGERS
LOL, been there against JC also. Punishing running game and huge kids, they got away from Burg with a win. Burg played their best Defensive game in a long time but the Offense couldn't seem to make the passing connections. Same yr Burg had an Itown transfer in Stamper. And JC had a running back that was featured in a TV documentary. Long story short, he wasn't the same after this game. Burg this yr could take em!! LOL.
the burg is good I am with you on that 1 but they would just not take JC (as u say) and for a side note the burg will be lucky to win region 17 and make the final 4-TAKE THAT TO THE BANK LOL.

as for ironton they are just fine the new running back with a well oiled line in front of him umm watch out anyone that seen game other night had to be impressed with the way he just went into the defense and the QB with 2 very good receivers to throw too this team will be hard to beat next season and hopefully the final 2 games this year.

IBTT that guy checkmated you with your own words that u stated back in August, and as for the Burg everybody and I mean everybody knew they were loaded this year except obviously Ironton. I am not going to say they will win the region or anything like that due to the other great teams in it but when it is all said and done the Burg will be playing long after your season is over my friend. And it sounds like you wish the burg to lose in the playoffs and that's sad because we should all be pulling for each other.

I will be the first to say that I expected Burg to be good, but I also as in many past seasons expected Ironton playing at home in a rivalry game would be more of a game. Ended up everything that could go wrong in the first quarter went wrong for Ironton. And it wasn't something that a young team could overcome. Burg looked sharp that game and looked like they were at midseason form. I for one would love nothing more than for Burg to win it all...that is unless Ironton somehow finds its way back in the playoff hunt and figures out a way to pull off an upset.

I agree ibtt, 100 percent. -----the wheelersburg that smashed the fighting tigers that night could have scored 70/80 points that night. they were just blasting us with that hurry up offense, superb conditioning, quick start. they had military precision, and the tigers could do nothing right that night.that burg team will do amazing things this year in the d5 playoffs if they play like that. I can't wait to see what happens when them and valley meet.that will be for all the marbles and home field advantage in playoffs, maybe wins the region.
