Basketball school. Many /some schools only have one big time program. Good luck going forward.

Come talk to me in five years and see where the two programs are. The sun is setting on the Maddox era, that’s just a reality. There’s no more Evan Frenches, Austin Cunningham’s, or Reece Pattons walking around anymore. And I promise you, I have a pretty good grip on the two programs.E High wrote: Fri Sep 17, 2021 11:35 pm Basketball school. Many /some schools only have one big time program. Good luck going forward.
Re: WK 5: Warren (2-2) @ Fort Frye (4-0)
They did pretty good, but playing at home vs warren not even close to at trimble. More wanting zaiden on defense and owen for offense. Zaiden was an animal vs zanesvilleEasternDspy wrote: Fri Sep 17, 2021 10:35 pmGot admit though Graham Baker and Keegan Strode did alright tonight.Ff3233 wrote: Fri Sep 17, 2021 10:07 pm Need owen and zaiden back for trimble. Going to be tough going to glouster and winning without both starters at inside lb. Even worse considering the loss the offense has as well with them out
Re: WK 5: Warren 7 @ Fort Frye 33 Final
Can't see it changing that much. Much easier in basketball to have a successful program. You have some decent sophomores now, but a football program they do not makebeg003 wrote: Sat Sep 18, 2021 12:24 amCome talk to me in five years and see where the two programs are. Only point I’m trying to make is our best athletes played basketball for a long time and you’ve seen what we’ve done. Our better athletes are starting to come to football. If they do, we’ll be pretty good every year. It’s still a climb though. Just one person’s opinion. I’d love to see us be good in both, don’t get me wrong.Ff3233 wrote: Sat Sep 18, 2021 5:59 pmCan't see it changing that much. Much easier in basketball to have a successful program. Understand, it's more of the mental aspect I'm looking at. I'm hoping ff's run continues, athletes have been pretty plentiful lately. But our weight program helps that cause alot as wellbeg003 wrote: Sat Sep 18, 2021 7:18 pmOnly point I’m trying to make is our best athletes played basketball for a long time and you’ve seen what we’ve done. And the mental part is the steepest part of the climb. We’re finally starting to get over it and are light years ahead of where we were 5 years ago. But, it still rears its head on occasion. Lack of athletes has never been the issue, I don’t think anyone would debate that. Fort Frye is seeing the benefits right now of virtually every good male athlete playing football and buying in.Ff3233 wrote: Sat Sep 18, 2021 7:28 pmUnderstand, it's more of the mental aspect I'm looking at. Re: WK 5: Warren 7 @ Fort Frye 33 Final
We get about 85 to 90% of the "good" athletes to come out. The weightroom in the field house has been the biggest boost. Kids lifting before school in the off season and in the summer is what makes the program.beg003 wrote: Sat Sep 18, 2021 7:46 pmAnd the mental part is the steepest part of the climb.
