I think I can arrange a tour if you’d like. It’s a nice bus!GalliaTribe wrote: ↑Wed Oct 06, 2021 10:30 pm Seen on Facebook where the Tigers are going to finally take that fancy bus of theirs to Coal Grove. I sure hope that no one from Coal Grove messes with that bus because they get a little wild there. I sure hope you all plan on bringing it up here to Gallia next week. Wouldn’t mind checking it out. Also, just curious who owns the bus the school district or a booster club?
Re: Ironton @ Coal Grove
Gas prices way too high to go too far in it. This bus kind of has that feel of when the cougars in the movie Waterboy rolled up in their nice tour bus and ruined what should have been a fun celebration of the Mud Dogs. It was an intimidation move, no doubt, but the water boy wasn’t having any of it; as he would lead the mud dogs in the upset of the now famous bourbon bowl. Does coal grove have a hard hitting ball boy on the sidelines? I’d look.TigerBob wrote: ↑Thu Oct 07, 2021 12:44 pmI think I can arrange a tour if you’d like. Who owns the bus?
Re: Ironton @ Coal Grove
It’s owned by members of boosters club is the rumor mill I’ve heard. Also heard the bus was bought by local business and gifted to boosters.
Re: Ironton @ Coal Grove
I would contact the school about those questions, honestly not sure. Thinking it will make the trip to Gallia though! You can take the short drive down to stadium and see it.GalliaTribe wrote: ↑Thu Oct 07, 2021 1:58 pmSounds good. Thanks man. Re: Ironton @ Coal Grove
The OVC is a good fit for Ironton in all sports except FB . With Gallia being down numbers and injuries it doesn’t give the Tigers much competition year in and out but the non conference schedule certainly helps the competition stand point . The move ins will keep coming because they are winning that’s just today’s Society . As far as D 1 Scholarships time will tell . Carrico was a beast and seldom does a player of his ability come along .
Re: Ironton @ Coal Grove
Ironton is on a good run. Leaving the ovc is a mistake. Ironton will typically be the front runner but they will have to sustain an influx of transfers to continue being this dominant but they aren’t in the other sports.Prince wrote: ↑Thu Oct 07, 2021 6:22 pm The OVC is a good fit for Ironton in all sports except FB . No diffrent than being at another school and not getting the playing time cause they don't have the right last name, or parents not friends with people on the board. So if I am going to be watching a game from the pine. I would rather watch from a winning teams bench any day.wonderbread wrote: ↑Thu Oct 07, 2021 3:36 pm HOW MANY OF THESE KIDS ARE IRONTON KIDS YOU ALL TO DUMB TO SEE THE ONLY PEOPLE GETTING HURT IS YOUR OWN KIDS THAT DONT GET PLAY TIME OR EVEN MAKE THE TEAM BECAUSE ALL THE ALL STARS YOUR COACK IS OUT THERE RECRUITING LMAO

I bet you would do more than just sit the bench to be part of a winning team. There is a lot of people like you out there.Go2Guy wrote: ↑Thu Oct 07, 2021 7:40 pmNo diffrent than being at another school and not getting the playing time cause they don't have the right last name, or parents not friends with people on the board. Re: Ironton @ Coal Grove
Yes, supposedly it was bought by Glockner for the Tigers which was really nice of them. And it was donated to the booster club.
Re: Ironton @ Coal Grove
Ironton is the powerhouse of football in southern ohio.
Ironton can sale and purchase Nike like all other schools in southern Ohio.
Ironton is not Massillon Ohio-Nike sponsored-multiple state championships, uniforms don’t lie, maybe Ironton can purchase new Nike ones next year.
If your not first your last- maybe Kirkland will get sponsored soon, they’re racking up the rings.
Ironton fits in every sport on the OVC, but football for a reason. It’s not because of local transfers, expanded way out of good Ol Larry Co. Although the new kids from valley will help in basketball.

The future is bright at Rock Hill. Redmen are only 2 wins away from making the playoffs this season. I predict a playoff run in D6 by the Redmen!BuckNuts24 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 07, 2021 10:04 pm Speaking of leftovers, how many winning seasons have they put together at Rock Hill?

I have grandsons at Rock Hill, Ironton and St Joe. I go to all three schools and find the folks there all love their team. No different all the same. The people all treat me with respect and I like going to all three schools. I wish them all the very best.
