Our HC “were over trying to win a championship, not sure what your going to do about it”. This has went on the whole year with our coaching staff. Embarrassing. We haven’t accomplished anything. Act like you’ve been there before.

Who was he saying that too? And he’s been running his mouth all year?

Where did you get this quote? And what is he referring to “not sure what you guys are doing?” I’m a little confused by this.buckeyes05 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 15, 2021 11:07 pm We over here trying to win a championship not sure what you guys are doing
Vc coach should’ve just kept his mouth shut

What else has he said that you don’t agree with exactly? Would like to see actual quotes and not just “my buddy said”.VC94 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 16, 2021 1:17 amWOW, How Embarrassing. Re: Wk 9: Vinton County (5-2) @ Nelsonville-York (5-3)
The NY defense shut us down. That’s my take. Haha VC smacked the Buckeyes in the first quarter and the Buckeyes responded with one hell of a final 3 quarters. Honestly, the running attack from VC hasn’t been shut down like that all season. Even in the Warren game, the Vikings ran the ball extremely well. Well enough to win. Same for Zane Trace. Last night, VC got out coached. Which isn’t necessarily a shocker. Richards has proven he and his staff are elite in the TVC Ohio. Period. They’ve won multiple titles, playoff games and even a regional title. That’s exactly the level TJ Carper wants to take VC. It starts with big games like these. There are growing pains in creating a solid program. The fact is, VC has a chance to finish 2nd in the TVC Ohio for the first time since 2007. They have a chance to make (the expanded) playoffs. They have already guaranteed a winning regular season for the first time since 04. They, as well as NY, lost a good bit from last year. With a new line on both sides of the ball and a completely new staff, if you told me we would be 5-3 and 3-1 in the TVC Ohio going into our rivalry game vs Wellston, I would’ve taken that in a heartbeat. We aren’t on NY’s level yet. But we’re coming. And if you have a problem with a coach having confidence in his team and program, then take your hurt feelings somewhere else. It’s a new era in VC. Congratulations to Coach Richards and NY on another title. You earned it. As for VC, it’s wellston week. Let’s go.footballfan wrote: ↑Sat Oct 16, 2021 8:59 am NY adds more paint on the wall. V.C. players and coaches talked a lot leading up to the game. Maybe next time they will learn not to call the big dog off of the porch. Bucks win 20-7 and the score should have been worse. NY had 3 other chances to score and didn't due to miscues and penalties.
Dundas what was your take on the game? You usually have a pretty reasonable take.

I have never heard of the coach or players “running their mouths” prior to this game.

Same here. I feel like if the team or the coach had bad attitudes we would’ve heard about it in prior games maybe. They probably just came into this game fired up and playing with an edge imo.

Not sure you would have heard about it, most adults don't talk about what a coach is saying as far as running his or her mouth. Maybe you would know if you are close to that particular program, but even then if that's your team, you would defend them and it would be he just is getting his team fired up, playing with confidence, has an edge, etc. They used to call that stuff bulletin board material and leave it at that. Best way to shut up a running mouth is beat them on the field or court or wherever you are competing against them.

Was a direct quote from your coach to one of ours during the delay. Didn’t hear crap from a “buddy” heard it firsthand lmao

Okay that makes more sense. At first I was confused because I didn’t understand the context of the comment lolbuckeyes05 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 17, 2021 9:53 am Was a direct quote from your coach to one of ours during the delay. Didn’t hear crap from a “buddy” heard it firsthand lmao

I have a hard time believing TJ just walked up and made this comment. Would like to know what was said before and after. I’m sure there’s more to the story being left out.Ironmen34 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 17, 2021 11:49 amOkay that makes more sense. NY loves to start stupid drama. Got forbid the VC coach thinks he can win a game. Seems like VC found a good coach
Re: Wk 9: Vinton County (5-2) @ Nelsonville-York (5-3)
I guess I don’t see what the big deal is.. I also haven’t heard anything about it besides on here. If he said it he said, it’s the league championship game. NY is on to Athens and VC is on to Wellston.
