Portsmouth actually has great parking outside of the actual school lot. If you park at one of the church or municipal lots and walk a bit you can usually get out easily also. That ninth street lot can really be a hassle though and I understand how people coming from out of town end up parking there and hating it.

If both teams play their best, Ironton wins easily.

For Burg to have a chance, they need to play their best game of the year, while getting help from Ironton with some costly mistakes.

Sometimes good defenses cause other teams to have hiccups. It does seem a monumental task for the Pirates to come out on top in this one but I'm sure Burg will be Burg and give it their all.

If Green were bigger, Green would have been the best choice. Almost 1/2 way between Ironton and Wheelersburg.

South Point has nice facilities and is an easy drive for both schools.

Burg doesn't have the firepower to last 4 quarters. Another regional final after being left for dead. It was a successful season.

I think if Burg can keep doing what they have been with the ball control, they have a chance. If not, Ironton scores quick and often and it's a long night for the Pirates.

No surprises here , Burgs record was deceiving. They lost to 4 really good teams. Avoided Ironton and Prep and beat the teams they should’ve. Ironton should win this game by 10-14.

Not a tiger fan but I thought last night he was going to get shut out. He had nothing going the first half but 2nd half was a completely different player. It’s not just him the Johnson kid number 8 is really good, the running back 24 is a stud and number 7 will prob be starting qb next year but when he is in he’s quick on his feet and throws a nice ball.

I just looked at a picture of South points stadium and the visiting stands are so small it's ridiculous and it has a track around the field it's not good at all man i sure wish that portsmouth would have put into host this game or even Valley or he'll id drive Jackson cause this is not good the home side looks ok so to all the Burg fans ya better show up early if your gonna have a chance to get a seat

South Point's visiting side is pretty similar to Portsmouth or Valleys. The main downfall that comes to mind is the access road getting in and out might get backed up with that kind of traffic

I said a couple years ago I’d never step into their stadium again, guess I’ll have those words for dinner

Why did I say that? One, they can’t compete with Ironton. Secondly, their stadium. I was 6’ tall, gravity over the last 70 years has taken an inch or two. The seats? They’re horrible. Your knees will be in someone’s back the whole night and someone’s knees will be in yours. Very uncomfortable. Couple that with the need to be way early to find a seat, mighty miserable

Portsmouth done Burg and Ironton wrong not putting in for this game, next year, paybacks 😊

If Myhometown was doing this game instead of Spectrum, I’d watch at home. Everyone said they done a horrible job last night

I want to think burg kept him in check the first half earlier in the year, then he exploded in 2nd half. There is no scheme for him other than don’t kick the ball to him. You just have to be solid on defense and hope you can get your mits on him or he trips.

Ok good cause the over head picture i seen they looked very small but I do dislike a football field with a track around it but atleast it's not a far drive and the field itself looks nice and I hope that Burg can just keep it close to have a chance in the 4th quarter to make it a game but ironton is loaded at their skill positions plus Burg has 2 starting linemen out #70 and #75 was walking with crutches last night

If that’s the case how in the hell did SP get this game? Where are they going to put all of the fans? Sounds like someone at SP is in the good ol’ boys club with the OH$AA.

Game should have been at Portsmouth!!

Burg will have to ground out long sustained drives to keep Ironton’s offense off the field. Similar to the game a few years back. Burg needs the score to stay in the teens to have a shot.

Confirmed from the facebook page of the Athletic Director at Portsmouth. They did put in to host

Agree with you 110% somebody knows somebody!!

Shocked they would hold a game there, isn’t it one way in one way out?

Well the great thing is we are playing another week, Go Burg!!
