This game comes down to this.

Ridgewood wants to dictate tempo. To do that they need their offensive line to win vs Irontons defensive line. To have a shot at that, Ridgewood will need to get some chunk plays on the Tiger defense. Do I believe they can break some plays throughout the course of a game? Yes. But I do not believe Wood can consistently rip off big plays against the Ironton defense. Not the West Lafayette boys night. Wood lands into the turnover column one too many times against a very consistent defense. Ironton special teams wins the field position battle. On the offensive side for Ironton, a steady diet of the three headed monster ( Salyers, Carrico, Fosson) is just what the doctor ordered on a cold, damp night of Ohio high school football in November.

Wow. Never did I think Ironton was gonna slap Ridgewood around like they did tonight. Guess the posters were right about Ironton being the more physical team. Did the Ridgewood players really taunt Ironton before the game as someone said earlier? If so, turns out that was a BIG mistake.
