The real reason I started this thread was to post who else has openings in week 10 and if any of them would be good matchups for the Ironmen
At this point the red and white can't be too picky .

Shady side
Eastern local (pike)
Fayetteville Perry
Columbus Miflin
Garfield heights
Canton central catholic

I also think Portsmouth west and Jackson have week 9 open in 2017-2018

Hopefully there are schools with open dates that aren't currently listed on the OHSAA website. The only school on that list that I wouldn't mind Jackson playing in Week 10 would be Canton Central Catholic, and that obviously would be a long trip for someone.

I haven't thought a lot about next year's lineup, but there will be a lot of talent returning, and a lot of talent coming up. Definitely lost a great group of seniors, and the schedule will be difficult, but I expect a great season from the Ironmen.

I think 2016 will be the best football class to come outta Jackson.The defense these guys will have,will be a sight to see. Potter is gonna be a beast in the backfield,the only thing that I'm not convinced on is the QB.I know Hall showed a big improvement,but he is no runner.Billy Cooper that dude is a QB destroyer!!! I think there biggest threat is Cincinnati Winto Woods. I foresee a war with De Salles on the horizon with a victory and moving on up!!!!! If my memory is correct I think this class has lost one game from 6th grade and up..
