Game is set for Aug.29th 7:30pm at Ralph Holder Stadium. Post prediction scores, improvements that need to be made, an both the good/bad of each team's Week 1 game. Fort Frye coming off a loss at River 35-0, while Belpre also came off a 17-10 loss to Washington County Rival Warren Warriors at Warren. The Cadets won the game last year 10-7 against Belpre at Fort Frye being the only win the Cadets picked up last season. Belpre who despite the Fort Frye loss last year made it to the playoffs an is looking to get a W under the belt of Coach Shriver as the Golden Eagles play there home opener under the new lighting system in Belpre.

From what I saw Fort Frye needs to find a way to improve on 1 of 6 passing for 6 yds. The Cadets' special teams were great on returns so maybe that'll be the spark they get this week for a 'W'.

If Belpre can stop the run game they roll. Don't know much about the caliber of competiton Warren presented, but have to believe any team that made the playoffs and LOST to Ft. Frye a year ago will surely be fired up for a win.

I'll go with Golden Eagles 27-7.

Coach Shriver and the EAGLES will turn it around this week. Looking forward to all the excitement, the first game with the new lights. They are really awesome. Expect the stands to be full friday night. The community is proud of the what has been accomplished in such a short time frame. There will be a brightness in the sky over Belpre unlike any we have seen before. (Like the one we see when the lights are on at PHS' Staduim Field).
A tremendious effort by the committee and the community. There are many people that need and should be thanked for this accomplisment. A special thanks to Greg Adams for keeping all of us focused on the task at hand. Thanks Greg.

I agree, I can't see FF beating Belpre. In fact, Belpre's going to be in a "make a statement" mood. Clay Ullman will have a BIG game. I look for him to connect with Tate at least 5 times. Packard will rebound too.

I'll take Belpre by 3 TDs.

Usually, teams make their greatest improvement between games 1 and 2. I look for Fort Frye to improve over last weeks whitewashing by River.

I would have to think Belpre will work some of their kinks out this week. Last year, Belpre made their jump forward after week 2, which was a loss at Fort Frye.

If Belpre isn't fired up for this game, well....

I think Belpre wins 28 - 7.

Fort Frye will have trouble containing either Packard or Tate. Look for both to have huge games. The Eagles want to rebound after a tuff loss at Warren last week. Belpre by as many as they want

belpre needs to pick up the special teams expecially kickoff and punt. this will be a big way for the cadets to score if they dont pick it up. i still think belpre will come out on top. packard will have a huge game.

If Fort Frye wants to win this game they will have to have more than 6 passing yards and 1 first down. They played a horrible game against River. I think people will be shocked by the score in this one because I think Belpre wins this one big. Belpre though has to stay consistant all year long. They weren't last year and a horrible Fort Frye team beat them last year.

Belpre wins big... The Fort is running the spread out of necessity (lack of size) without spread-like athletes... could be a long year for the Cadets! Belpre has too many athletes. Belpre 31-7 (Fort scores on special teams)
