Re: Best Freshman in SE Ohio
Nathan Gibson - Chillicothe.
Forced to play JV ball he has won the starting position at QB.
4 touchdown passes and 3 INTs
11 carries for 60 yards
1-1 record so far. Beat Brookhaven with a 64 yd pass for a TD with less than 12 seconds on the clock. The loss coming by way of Big Walnut.
I look for him to make some sort of contribution next year after the Knights era ends at CHS.

Will McCollister quarterback for Rock Hill is pretty good despite being 0-2...

Prater #44 from wellston, big, strong, fast. Raw offensive talent, will need work on defense, very aggresive and over runs plays. Possibly the best freshman in all of SE Ohio.

Ironton has a coupl real good lineman in Gage Roach and Dakota Taylor. With a couple skills players that are real good Tyler Hager, Michael Lawless and Wayne Evens are very tough

He's a freshman starting at varsity QB. He'll be fine this year and will be outstanding within a couple of seasons. I'd look for him to go on to play on Saturday afternoons somewhere.

Nelsonville York has several great athletes that are Freshman (Don't want to name names, afraid of leaving someone out).
Re: Best Freshman in SE Ohio
Mitchell Rider and Devon Sharp from Athens. They dominated at the JV game last week against Federal Hocking.

I get to correct the great hawkeye!!!
It is JOEY Batey!!!
J. Prater, Wellston. I would agree, one of the, if not THE best freshman athlete in SE Ohio. And a very classy and respectful young man.

East could have a couple of nice backs in this freshman class in Camps and Bradford.

i think Coal Grove has the best freshman athlete around and that is Greg Bender and he is starting Varsity as a freshman and I am sure that he is going to be playing on Saturdays somewhere...He is being looked at right now by several college teams...he is just a really talented kid!!
