Warren 21 at Marietta 26 Final
Let's restart this. Let's keep the identifying of posters and personal attacks out of it this time.
This is a warning. I have a feeling both coaching staffs wouldn't want their kids on here acting like this.
Good Luck to both teams, let's act and play with class.

BIG GAME THIS WEEK. I think this game will be like many games at the high school level. It will come down to winning the line of scrimmage. Fundamentals, Discipline in blocking assignments, heart and desire, toughness, physical play in a cross county game, etc. will be the factors. Both teams have players that can make the " BIG " play. What team is going to win the battle at the line of scrimmage?????? Just another great match up in the wonderful sport of high school football. Can't wait for the kick off at Dun Drumm !!!!!

Re: Week Four: Warren (2-1) at Marietta (0-3)
Marietta had possibly the toughest first three games in the area. Coach Shoub will have them pumped primed and ready to fire. Warren however comes off a pretty dominating defensive game, -1 rushing and 42 passing. and added to the overall record against South either 11-4 or 12-4, so this was an emotional win against the former coach. So that being said it will be Warrens "D" an can they stop Westbrook and company, the Tigers have put points onthe board, Warren has stumbled somewhat scoring. Another emotional rival game for Warren. I have to give this game a toss-up, play the middle of the road. And say this game will be won in the trenches, can Warren pressure the pass, they have done so this season very well, will the secondary cover well, big ? mark here, they have struggled, more factors than can list here. Can the Tigers contain Dunfee, Wolfe & Coffman. Also Warren gets back a couple of dinged up players in Singer and D. Wellspring. Many many things here. So good luck to both teams, leave it on the field.

I have no idea what Marietta looks like, but Warren did a good job of controlling the ball. If the other team doesn't get the ball, it's tougher to score. I really don't have a clue of who to pick.
I kept looking for a counter play Friday night. A counter with Dunfee was just itching to be called.

Re: Week Four: Warren (2-1) at Marietta (0-3)
a counter... how about a reverse? or a 3-step out/slant/fade??? crazy thoughts I know...
Warren's defensive front is much improved! #77& #56 off the top of my head have been tough to block...no disrespect to the others, just can't remember your numbers... Marietta's QB should see alot of #1-not sure Marietta or any other school has an offensive lineman that can match his combination of length and speed on the edge especially during passing situations...
Thought the Warrior fullback ran pretty tough, guess Marietta will find out.?. Expect him to pound it inside and the speedy halfback to break out this game!
Would be in Marietta's best interest to punt it out of bounds! (Warren's most consistent offensive play this season)

check the stats...averaging right around 20 a return not counting a td called back last week... but yea you are probably right, go ahead and kick it... no threats anywhere for the Warriors!

Oh I'm sorry I must have forgot. It must be tough returning oints against belpre south and philo. I'm sure warrens returners are much more talented than hilliards
