Ironton-Portsmouth? Will Defense Finally Enter Back In?

I was checking the figures for the last three games. There have been an average of 77 points a game for the last three years between these two schools. Will that happen again this year or will the game shift to more of a defensive struggle?

The Trojan's defense has been their bright spot all year long, we have only given up 28 or more points 3 times. That is pretty good when you consider the field position that we have been giving most teams.

Biggdowgg- Don't be so sure that trophy is going back to Ironton. I think the defense can keep us in this game, and White and Royster are always one tackle away form taking it to the house.
I see the Trojans in a big upset, so TANK THIS Ironton

It really comes down to the passing game. Is Portsmouth any good in the passing game? If so, they will probably have a good possibility of scoring some points. if Portsmouth is not a passing team, it will be a long night for the Trojans.

I will say, Ironton 42-21. If that is the case, I dont expect a defensive struggle.

After watching practice last night....The Trojans are up for this game....Tigers dont think you will come in and walk all over these young men... The defense will make you work for what you get....To young Mr. Myers and the Trojan Offense.....this is the week to get it all together guys, work hard out there and show these Tigers what you are made of!!! Anyone who thinks otherwise would be thinking very foolishly it would seem to me. Once again, I believe that Ironton will NOT see the same team that everyone else got to see. Portsmouth will want this game and want it badly.

I just can't see the game having this many points in aggregate as the last 3 years has seen

I doubt I have to get anyone fired up for this one. If you are from Portsmouth or Ironton and you’re not already pumped for Friday night, I feel sorry for you. These 2 schools have respect for each other, but hate it each other just for living. This game is Red and Blue vs. Orange and Black, Curt vs. Bob, Spartan vs. Tank, Trojans vs. Fighting Tigers!!! If that doesn't get you fired up you better check your pulse.

Trojans take opening kickoff all the way back, and set the tone. It will leave Ironton shocked. The Trojans jump out early(for a change) Lutz makes halftime adjustments but, not enough for a comeback.
