MVP in TVC Ohio and Hocking.
Re: MVP in TVC Ohio and Hocking.
Arnold for offense, the linebacker for Belpre for defense,he's also a running back for the Eagles, always making tackles. In the Hocking the running back Dyla for the offense,no clue for defense, never seen anyone play but The Tomcats.
Re: MVP in TVC Ohio and Hocking.
I will take Dyla in hocking offensive and Dior trimble for defensive. I agree with Arnold for for Ohio. But the Boy from Belpre hasnt did a whole lot in the games I have seen him in this year. Dont forget Athens is in the TVC Ohio this year. Following the Hocking you tend to forget Athens joined the Ohio. Is Dyer or Dior. I want to get it right. Hes a dandy.

vik52, are you serious? I quarantee the boy from Belpre has more tackles than anyone in the tvc.; he had 20+ in the Tremble game alone. Ask the Vinton Coach his opinion about the boy from Belpre, then post his response.

Re: MVP in TVC Ohio and Hocking.
The number of tackles is not a sole determing factor.I was at the Trimble/Belpre game and most of those tackles were 10-15 yards beyond the line of scrimmage.
Arnold for offence.
Have yet to see standout defensive player in the Ohio
Haven't seenenough of Hocking games to form an opinion.

I wasn't making a case for mvp; I was disputing vicking52's statment," The boy from Belpre is no good".

TVC-Ohio — Derek Arnold (Cameron Tope, Cody Lawson, Lockard)
— Chance Fox - for all his big time plays!
TVC-Hocking — Tyler Dyla

Re: MVP in TVC Ohio and Hocking.
I have already said Arnold, and I don't think that he can logically be disputed.
If I was to "rank" my selections I would say:
1st- Derek Arnold- Nelsonville-York (THE best player in the league)
2nd- Jacob Well- Meigs (Best QB I have seen on a very good Meigs team)
3rd- Cameron Tope- Athens (Strong runner)
4th- Matt Lockard- Wellston (Very good/versatile football player)

4 Hman - It is hard to refute your choices. I've heard absolutely nothing but rave reviews about the QB from Meigs. Arnold's achievements speak for themselves.
Wish I had a chance to see the Well boy from Meigs this year, it sounds like he's the real deal.......

Steely-
I was VERY impressed with Well................. He looked very good on tape and even better in person. When he is on, he doesn't miss receivers and can make all the throws.
Twice we had his receivers covered perfectly where only a PERFECT throw could beat us............... He made both throws..................... All you can say to your kids in a situation like that is "that no other kid in the area will make that throw" and "better luck next time"
As far as Arnold is concerned....................... NY has had a pretty darn good season................... But I shutter to think how many games we would have won without Derek. Every week he seems to come up with an MVP performance where I say to myself "that kid refuses to let his team lose"

4 Horse--
Like Steely Dan, I can't argue with your post--that's how I saw it so far this year, except I haven't seen Wellston play.
Meigs QB Well is the best passing QB I've seen in TVC play over the past 6 years. I saw a pass he threw that was right on target and 60 yards in the air--without the receiver breaking stride for 6. And dead on with short field passes. He made a believer out of me.
Can't argue about Nelsonville York RB Arnold as TVC Ohio MVP--his performance has carried the team this year.
Haven't seen enough TVC Hock teams to know what I'm talking about there.
