More than 500 individuals attended Monday night’s annual fall sports banquet in the Gallia Academy High School gymnasium.
Presentation of individual and special awards highlighted the event.
All-Southeastern Ohio Athletic League honors were announced, along with All-District and SEOAL and state all academic awards. The all-league awards will be announced after all SEOAL squads are eliminated from tournament play.
GAHS Principal Bruce Wilson served as master of ceremonies.
Coaches of the Blue Devils and Blue Angels teams introduced their players and presented them with their individual awards.
The cheerleaders were introduced by Christy Randles, advisor.
Special awards went to the following:
Most Valuable Football player—Beau Whaley.
Most Valuable Golfer—Kamal Dayal.
Most Valuable Volleyball Player—Kacie Shoemaker.
Most Valuable Soccer Player—Zeke Maher.
Boys Most Valuable Cross Country Player—Morgan McKinniss.
Girls Most Valuable Cross Country Player—Payton Adkins.
Golden Helmet Scholarship Award—Evan Wood.
Girls Fall Scholastic Award—Lee Ann Townsend.
Boys Fall Scholastic Award—Kamal Dayal.
