Here is some information about the "Nationals". Even though this is called the "National Youth Championships" it does not actually crown a National Champion. The event is sponsored by Wilson sporting goods and it has been in existence for over 25 years. You play two games over the Thanksgiving Holiday. The tournament manager uses your teams average age and weight to determine who you will play. You do not need to be a League Champion, but you should be pretty good to attend. This will be the 5th Trip for the Nelsonville Youth Football Program. We have won at least one game every time but once. This is a chance of a life time for these kids. This is a very expensive trip and there parents have been working extremely hard to make this dream a reality.

Win or lose the best part of this trip is the memories the boys take back with them! How many football players in this area can say they played in a football game, went and played in the ocean and then went and played a football game, etc.! Not to mention practicing on the beach!
