Without Leffingwell Warren has little chance, I look for the Devils to extend their streak over the Warriors.

Did Leffingwell get hurt again?
He played against Chillicothe

Sorry Noreply, I should have been more clear with my statement. If the Gallia defense shuts down the passing game Warren has little chance.

Re: Week 9--Warren Local (4-4) at Gallipolis (5-3)
Leffingwell played friday evening. For the first three qtrs. he played tenative, short armed his passes, and did not/or could not move around much in the backfield and lost massive amounts of yards. However in the fourth he made a nice run and played like he has been most of the season the rest of the way. Maybe he needed to prove to himself that he could take a hit.
The extra point play looked from the sideline to be a tipped pass, that Buck caught for the two points. One ref called it good, the side judge that was behind the play called it no good. Was too far away to see for sure, but Warren should not have been in the situation that a possible questionable call decided the game. Not to take anything away from the Cavs, they played a solid defensive game and scored when the opportunity presented its self. Warren did not play well, saw on the web site only 191 yards rushing and passing for the game. Hope that they can get everything back on track a 6-4 season is not out of the picture. Winning the last two would be a great way to end for the seniors.

Should be an interesting matchup. I wouldn't want to be a QB hampered by injury playing against the GA defense. They'll definitely hit him hard and often.
Re: Week 9--Warren Local (4-4) at Gallipolis (5-3)
Maybe Warren should go with the gay that played against Logan.
Re: Week 9--Warren Local (4-4) at Gallipolis (5-3)
Some information for Gallia Academy fans that you all might be interested in. I've been doing some playoff calculations for Region 12 and I have taken a look at Gallia Academy's numbers. With wins over Warren and Jackson, I think the Blue Devils would probably get the #7 seed, which would probably leave Jackson at #8.
Obviously there are MANY different games that could affect that scenario, and leave us both outside the Top 8, so this is just a projection on my part. However, if the Blue Devils and Ironmen take care of business this week, Week 10 will not only be for an SEOAL title, but most likely a playoff spot as well.
See you guys in Jackson.

It will be Senior Night on Memorial Field Friday evening. Last season, GAHS honored all seniors on all fall athletic teams, cheerleaders and band members. Don't know how they are going to do it this year.
Anyway, 15 GAHS football gridders will be playing their final home game as high school players. They are:
Bryant Bokovitz, Drew Young, Brandon Taylor, Joel Johnston, Caleb Craft, Frank Geoff, Zack Tackett, Michael Scott, Branson Barr, Aaron Guisinger,Stephen Atkins, Chadd Carpenter,Sidney Saunders, Dallas Moss and Joe Jarvis.

Its been great watching the seniors develop. A big thank you for all the sweat and effort you put in so this old man could have the pleasure of watching you play.

Re: Week 9--Warren Local (4-4) at Gallipolis (5-3)
Looks like Gallia has strggled some on offense this year....are they primarily run first? how is the passing game....I think based on game results so far, you can put Warren, Gallia, Logan, and Chilli in a bowl, shake them up and any one is capable of making enough plays to win against each other....Senior night and playing at home should be an advantage for Gallia, but Warren can be a dangerous team if they start fast and get a couple of scores...passing success can open up the running game....Warren is just playing for pride now.....I see this game as coming down to the 4th quarter....hope the field is not too muddy but it looks like more rain this week....

Don't know what GAHS will try to do on offense against Warren. Hope we get healed up by Friday.

Here comes the rain....is the field as bad as people say? I hear not a blade of grass....Gallia moving to a new field next year? How did the Devils only score 10 on Portsmouth last week??
Re: Week 9--Warren Local (4-4) at Gallipolis (5-3)
If it keeps raining all week, it will be ugly. It hasn't been too bad this year (in comparison to years past), but it doesn't take much rain at all to make it bad.warriorfrosh wrote:Here comes the rain....is the field as bad as people say?
