Prayers for the family of BJ Hughes -2005 Grad of Logan HS

Post by 4theKids »

I have been talking to Cole Resler this afternoon and he asked that I post a thread for all of our old huddle friends from the SEOAL.

BJ Hughes passed away in an auto accident late last night.
I know Cole and the family would love to hear from any and all of you who
had the pleasure of watching all of these kids that played sports in our league back thru 2003-05.

Terrible loss- but even worse when it is a young man or woman that we all thought had so much time ahead of them.

:( please give thoughts and love and prayers to Cole, the Hughes Family and the Logan faithful.
These young men -very talented and determined- gave us some of the best competition; yet also gave us some of the best times in all of our SEOAL years.

You will be missed but not forgotten, BJ.

love,
4theKids

Cole Resler's phone number is 740-974-2201
Call or text him- I know he would love to hear from all of you !!!

I think he would like to set up an annual golf outing to make sure we all stay in touch...... and I told him we would do whatever he would like- to keep BJ and the "rat" pack alive in our hearts <3

Such a great post - thx 4thekids!

I definitly loved talking with all those kids ... They use to instant message me all the time during our jjhuddle days - they knew I hated Logan and would love to pester this old Dog.

Thanks for the info - I'll be sure to say a prayer or two tonight.

I don't like to lose youngins. Makes momma Hump cry.
If you guys can; please get the courage up and text Cole.
He is struggling in the fact that he did not get to see or talk to BJ before he passed.
He received the phone call, but did not make it to the hospital in time.

Show Cole and BJ some good ole SEOAL <3

Thanks 4tk - I was about to put a post together here on SEOPS. Have been heartbroken since last night. The "Rat Pack" from Logan was a big part of the fabric that brought a lot of SEOAL fans together on JJHuddle while that group was in high school.

I want to share my grief for all of "Chieftain Nation" - especially the Hughes and Huntsberger families.

Such a tragedy for our community to have lost a Chieftain - I think we'll all remember the "Rat Pack" and to know that a group that brought Chieftain fans so much joy will never be together again breaks my heart.

Go Chiefs!

RIP BJ

Thoughts and prayers to the families!!!

Coached against BJ when I was at Marietta. He was a great player, and killed us two different seasons. A tremendous all-around athlete. He was fun to watch.

Rest peacefully #1.

Terrible loss . I grew up with BJ's dad and remember BJ when he was very young and liked hearing how well he did as a high school athlete. Prayers to the family... only faith and love can get one through the toughest of times in life.

just wanted to throw out a quick thank you to all of you who have reached out to Bj's family, and friends... it's never easy when something like this happens, it warms my heart to see all of the views and posts this topic has.

Although Bj's life was taken from us wayyyyy too soon, he was able to help 50 other people from being a tissue and organ donar, talk about an amazing feeling, I know BJ would have it no other way.

thanks again, short and sweet now, I'll be back later, but a Big thanks to Momma Hump for throwing this out there

Thanks everybody for all of the prayers, I know the Hughes and Huntsberger families are very appreciative of them.

This is a very hard time for a small community like ours, to see all of the views and replies on this thread just ensures all of us that BJ was truly a special person, and somebody I would consider a brother.

Although his life was cut short, I'm positive God has a plan for BJ. Yes he is gone, however due to being an organ and tissue doaner he was able to help 50 other people, and if anybody knew him, he wouldn't have it any other way.

I will be in contact with everybody regarding a golf outing. The tragic event has just made me realize that I made some very good friendships with opponents during high school!
R1P BJ

Your Brother,
Cole
