Meigs Marauders 2009

No one has talked about next years marauders after making school history and making the playoffs for the first time just thoughts on how the team would look. They return alot of key players but also lose a few and have a couple talented young guys to step up.

1. They return all league running back Jeremy Smith who rushed for over 1900 yards and a boat load of Tds who also plays alot into meigs passing game has great hands and super fast. Also return all league Qb Jacob Well who passed for 1900 yards. Receivers that come back are senior caleb Davis who is a phyical tight end with great hands for a big man, and also cameron Bolin who stands about 6 foot 2 and has a great set of hands. And Cody Laudermilt who plays a little fullback and a little wing back. Some good linemen with alot of experience in Tanner Hysell and colby Hayes and a junior will crow.

2. Lose a few key players like clay Bolin and mason metts and ernie welsh but have some young kids to fill some big shoes I think coach will get everything out of his players next year and hopefully lead them to alot more success.

3. Meigs was 8-2 last season lost to Ny and warren. A different maigs team lost to warren when they didn't show up to play and had nelsonville beat the entire game untill the freshman filled kickoff team let derek Arnold return two kicks for scores but should have a great chance of winning a Tvc title this year with the talent they have coming back what are some of your guys thoughts?

I would write something about the upcoming season but I am sure it will be deleted within a week so what is the point? We have tried this topic a number of times but somehow it turns into a bashing fest.

Meigs has alot of good kids on their team i talked to a couple of the lineman this year and i was impressed with their attitudes and their play on the field. when i ran the ball they would be all around me they defense is good at flying around.
