Caleb Southworth Offers?

Post by hbk2016 »

Has Piketon's Caleb Southworth received any offers yet? I would guess he has a good chance to go D1.

I don't know about any offers yet, but I do know Cincinnati is looking at him real hard. Caleb is a great young man and a hard worker. If he keeps it up and gets a little faster he will be a D1 player. I wish him all the luck in the world. My advice to him is enjoy his senior year and the recruiting process, it only happens once in a lifetime.

He is a quality young man. Hopefully he will get his shot.

Should be a fun fall with two potential D1 guys suiting up for the Pike Co. teams.

Pretty good for little 'ole Pike Co!

I wish talks of this would stop!!! Your right though, it would be nice to see two quality athletes of there caliber playing on the same team, BUT....both of these young men has played for their school since day one. I think it would be a shame if either of them left to go play for another school just so they could play together. Believe me, they will have there chance to play with the best when they go on to the next level. Whatever happened to school pride and being proud of where your from???

No gasket being blown here. LOL! I just get tired of every time I go anywhere and Southworth's name gets brought up or Derek's, the conversation always goes in the direction of them changing schools. Now if there talking same uniforms once they get in college, then....absolutely!! Maybe I misunderstood, and if I did..my apoligies.

No one actually tihinks either will change schools. Just speculating what they could do if they were on the same team.

Not that often (meaning never) that both schools have potential D1 football players in the same class.

If he doesn't have at least a couple small offers yet, the chances are that he is going to wind up in D1 AA(FCS) or D2. This in and of itself is a great accomplishment. There are some AMAZING athletes that play D2. Most FBS teams already have targeted and offerred most of their recruits. If a few fail to get in or don't go for some reason than he may be able to sneak in though. I wish him the best of luck in continueing his education in the best spot for him. Whether that be Ohio State, Moorhead State or anywhere in between.

I heard Malone had some small offers if not some schools looking real hard? Anybody know for sure? Wouldn't that be nice if two players of the same year from the same team had D1 offers!?
