South Gallia @ River Valley Jamboree Aug. 15
This jamboree is less than a month away. I think both teams will work on the things they need to improve themselves but I think one thing is for sure and that is the players on both teams will give 100%. No winners here so there is no need to be talking that stuff, just simply a glorified scrimmage. My question is where does the gate money for this game go to because I am sure it will be a nice one.

The gate will go to jump start the fund raising for the two new stadiums.

Sounds like a good way to get the new stadiums on the right track.

I don't believe the money from Holzer is specifically earmarked for anything, so it could be used for athletics, I suppose.

That would be a long drive for a jamboree game.

What time will this start?
My guess would be 7. I know both schools are having open house earlier that day.

I should be there unless I find another scrimmage to go to. We scrimmage that morning against Wahama, which will also be a huge moneymaker to say the least.

The last I heard, the Holzer money is being put into other places so that evry building in the whole district can benefit from it.

Not too far back, I remember hearing that the GCLSD superintendent wanted to split the Holzer money on science labs.
A half million dollars would go a long way towards making some very nice academic facilities.

I wish the best for both programs as they start to build their new athletic facilities. I know how hard the people on our athletic complex committee have worked in the past two years to make our new complex a reality so there is a lot of hard work ahead but it will be worth it in the end.

The Holzer money is going towards the sports facility project from what I understand.

theassassin-have heard the same thing on the Holzer money but not sure how true that is.
A person can purchase a brick for which every stadium they wish.
Believe it or not I know several people that are planning on buying a brick for both when they do it.
