Varsity - Wheelersburg 3 TDs - Jackson 0

JVs - Wheelersburg 0 - Jackson 0

Freshmen - Jackson 1 TD - Wheelersburg 0

Each team had a set of 10 plays to start off the varsity portion of the scrimmage. Neither team scored during that set and both defenses forced a turnover. The two squads then played 2 quarters of down and distance and Burg controlled the scrimmage with long, sustained drives against the Jackson defense. They won that portion of the scrimmage 3 TDs to none for Jackson. Jackson didn't get anything going offensively. Burg's defense was quick and physical up front. The JVs played a quarter that went scoreless, with both teams moving the ball a little. The freshmen played one quarter also and Jackson scored on a long QB scramble as time expired.

Yep, no problem.

Burg was very impressive in my opinion. A little sloppy at times, but that's to be expected this early. They certainly dominated the Ironmen tonight.

Thanks, pmow. It always takes some time for a team to really become familiar with a new system. I'm sure that Coach Hall and his staff will continue to work hard to get the Ironmen to come around.

I totally agree with the Craigmiles arguement! Schank gets the edge though! I can't go into it on here cause I don't want to make it sound like I am talking bad about a player. Just saying!!
