GREAT WIN CHIEFS What a turn of two halves, Pick-town came out firing and the Chiefs came out flat. The Panthers showed some heart as the almost beat the Chiefs. Look for some changes on the defensive side of the football, you gotta stop the run to get your offense on the field. Look to see Bobby Russell to play more on the defensive side. The Chiefs are a little small tn the Linebacking side, and he could add some beef and definitely some intensity. Pat ''THE ASSASIN'' Angle showed why he is the leader of this football team.Great last drive and a great finish on the last play interception....Hope ---Mason ''ROOK'' Mays gets healed and has a speedy recovery.....need that threat...but the other Wr's stepped it up----Mc Daniels-Rutter-Swain----all had good catches.....so Week three at Hamilton....the Chiefs go to 3-0 and shore up that run defense....Logan 42---Hamilton 07......
Lets see......the defense gets more experience under there belt this week in practice, Mays comes back to the deadly Chieftain aerial arsenal, Angle continues to be the leader he needs to be..........

Lets give North some credit too. They are going to run for a bunch of yards against a lot of teams this year.
I'll say this, week 4 when Groveport and North face-off, that will be a dandy.
But Logan certainly needs to continue to get better defensively. Hopefully Robinson will continue to recover with his ankle and if we can get Mays back in the line-up, that will help defensively.
Hamilton appears to be a mess right now..seen where there starting RB just up and quit or was either kicked off the team right in the middle of the game last night. Left the stadium right in the middle of the game.

without a doubt!! i agree, they made some adjustments at the half and used there 2 horses and that big offensive line to wear us down. kuddos to them. i think they where the biggest we'll see until the playoffs.

You realize they've already had 35 points scored on them in 2 games right??? I'd like to believe that..but I just can't see them only allowing 25 points in 8 games. They gave up what..65 points last year? And IMO last years defense was better than what this year's seems to be so far.

There isnt any team in the league anywhere close to as good as either of those two teams and thats all the points either one of those could muster together. Maybe your right, i'll go with 70. I suppose 7 points in the last 2 minutes of each game will add up, toss in a few shutouts. I dont see this defense getting scored on more than once, the first team anyway in the SEOAL.
Logan in a laugher. Coach Jacoby was at DeSales for a long time winning state titles and taking them to the playoffs it seemed like every year. IMO, he came to Hamilton Township because the current A.D. , Mark Beggrow (who's kid eventually played for him at DeSales) was the head coach of H.T. in the late 70's - early 80's and hired Bob right out of college as one of his assistant's and they kept in touch thru the years and with coach reaching the 50 year old mark it was time to step away from the private school setting (which doesn't pay a lot and has a limited retirement system) and get into the state teacher's retirement system with a public school system so he could get enough years in before retirement and draw a decent pension (In the Columbus Dispatch a couple years ago when he first took the job, he cited family reasons for his leaving DeSales). Even though IMO he is a great coach, the kids and parents at H.T. can't or won't buy in to his philosophy. I lived there for around 5 years in the mid 90's and other than a few travel teams and all-star teams that I and a few others put together over the year's that did well at the junior levels (8-15), most of the families and the kids have to have it their way and there just isn't enough effort put out where athletics are concerned. They have new schools and all and the academics have improved over the years but he'll never win there for the above stated reasons. (p.s. - yeah, I heard about the running back just walking away from the last game. I just hope he doesn't blow up one day because of the lacksadasical attitude of the kids and parents in the township). Anyway, enough of my rambling, Logan can name the score.
That pretty much sums up everything I've heard about them. Kids don't put enough effort in..they don't want to work for it..they expect everything to be handed to them. The parents think there kids should start every game. They don't like to let the coaches do there job. Heard nobody wanted to put in any extra effort through out the summers to try to get better either. Just a shame.

You know I hope your right Grizz! But I just think your overlooking Zanesville and Ironton this year. The rest..I agree..shouldn't be a problem..but I think those 2 games will still be close games. I know Zanesville is 2-0..and that the teams they played are 0-4 combined..but they still put some stellar numbers up on those 2 teams. And Ironton definitely sounds like there are much improved. Now trust me..I REALLY hope I'm wrong! I hope they walk right through to a 10-0 season being able to pull the starters out early the rest of the season! I just have a feeling those 2 games are gonna be a little speed bump...other than those...I think the Chiefs have no problems.
Zanesville has beaten a Newark team which is in disarray and will probably finish last in the OCC division they're in and Licking Valley which is currently in a rebuilding stage after losing Storm Klein (Ohio State) and others from the last few years that have produced very good playoff teams. IMO, Ironton on the other hand will probably win at least 8 games, probably 9 in the regular season but will just be outnumbered when they play Logan. Ironton will do very well in the playoffs but Logan is just to much.
