Haha I think they misunderstood the topic. It means that after the game is played post the stats of a player or describe why they should be that week's player of the week by how well they played. not a psychic guessing game

Ironton's offensive and defensive lines, they may not put up big stats but they sure can control the outcome.

I would say Portsmouth's big contributors were Josh Myers on offense and Jason James on defense.

Re: Week 1 Player of the Week
Perry Wheeler of Marietta...set a school record for rushing yards. Don't have the official numbers, but it was around 320.
Oh, and scored 6 TD's in the Tigers 59-20 win over Morgan

No contest, Perry Wheeler goes for 319yds on 33 carries, both school records. He also had 6 TD's. So not sure but I would call that a good day at the office. Great Job to the Tigers and also congrats to the O-line and the Coaches.

The ATHENS DEFENSE !!!!
@ Memorial Field where It is hard to execute plays for visiting teams...
a 21-0 victory of the host Blue Devils ...
SHUTOUT and several KEY Goal Line Stands plus creating turnovers ...

Re: Week 1 Player of the Week
zebra, i would have to agree as well, playing an amazing opponent, our lines on both sides dominated. i'm looking for both teams to make deep runs this year.
Re: Week 1 Player of the Week
Top defensive player in a game that showed little defense because of two high powered offenses was #5 Jake Murphy of Coal Grove. He must have had 8-10 knock downs on well thrown balls by Well of Meigs not to mention being in his receivers grill all night long. If Well could have completed just one of the many fades he through against Murphy the game would have been Meig's.

Re: Week 1 Player of the Week
I know he hasnt played yet but, if Roback from Waverly repeats last years week one performance then I'd say he'll have a solid shot at it.
