Fairland will key on Pendelton. Murphy will break loose for a big night and West will win 35-7

It will not matter if they key on pendleton or not. Teams are going to struggle stopping him regardless. The kid just runs mad. What's scary is he is just as good on defense. West will be for real again this year. Something special is taking place on the West side.

G.O.A.T. he is a monster and will only get better.
What I want to know is this Freshman score for real? West 62-0 over Burg at Burg?

Depends on Ratliff, everybody will put 8 or more in the box to stop the run. If he can mature quickly I think we can have a very effective offensive. He has the arm, but does he have the moxy? Trevon and Mark will get their yards, but to beat the better teams were going to have to be able to pass the ball. Everybody will want to put the young sophmore into passing situations. Another question mark will be our defensive backs. All the talent in the world but little experience. With all this said, I like our chances.

this is true. But teams are always going to play 8 in the box. They can't afford not to. If they don't, West will run right down the field. The only problem is with that many guys close to the line of scrimmage, it becomes really hard to protect the QB. The d-lines are usually shooting gaps trying to make something happen because if they play read, they'll get man-handled. That's when West needs to be patient and start with the short passing game. Give the young QB confidence while at the same time, back that defense up a little.
the key to the pass coverage will be that defensive line. With the interior d-lines speed and probably only playing one way they will be able to get a good push. The linebacker play being so good with Pendelton/Compton, should allow more freedom to stunt as they'll cover their mistakes. They can blitz Compton like they did so much last year because Pendleton is so good.

From what I've heard, Fairland's line looks terrible. If that's the case, they'll play right into West's hand. You can't afford to have a weak line against the Siders.
Re: Fairland @ West 8/28
from what I saw last year you dont have to worry about WEST over looking anyone. It is going to be like last year 1 game at a time. GO WEST!!! west-41 fairland 12

I think I'm going to skip this one and go watch Ironton and Wheelersburg this year. Won't be much of a game at "The Rock".
Re: Fairland @ West 8/28
You could go to the Ironton/Burg game. . . or you could go to another good game right down the road and watch Coal Grove/Meigs. . . or you could go on down to South Point and scout Portsmouth!
