BISHOP READY VS COAL GROVE

Post by rico suave »

GOOD MATCHUP, GROVE NEEDS TO STOP READY'S BO HARDY, WHILE THE SILVER KNIGHTS NEED TO SLOW DOWN QB ALEX BARE'S RUNNING AND PASSING. LOOK FOR THIS ONE TO BE A NAIL BITER.

Ready by 30pts. The Grove hasn't played anybody. Refs can't help the country bumpkins enough!

As much as I would love for Coal Grove to represent southeastern Ohio and blowout Bishop Ready like Nelsonville-York did last week, I have to unwillingly route for Bishop Ready for the second level playoff points that would come with a Ready win. However, I do hope Coal Grove gives 'em hell in a close game!

Ready has been blown out in each of their last two contests but they likely have too much for CG. I'll take Ready but closer than some expect.

I have watched both teams play this year, Coal Grove at Athens and Nelsonville-York at Ready
both are decent teams but IMO Bishop Ready is better!

MY PREDICTION:

Bishop Ready - 42

Coal Grove - 14

Hoping for a Coal Grove win, but expecting a Ready win.

As far as saying Coal Grove hasn't played anybody....there are some folks in Lucasville who might disagree with you. But, I guess we won't know for sure until the next month and a half pass by.

I'd say a few people in the Athens area may disagree also.

The "country bumpkins" gave this game away,,,,how in the world do you jump offsides on an extra point with no time left. inexcusable.

I agree with what you say about the offsides, but I blame the caoches for kicking the ball to Ready after they score on one play off 55 yards and like 42 seconds left! Our kicker cant kick very far and the guy returns it to our 40!If you kick it out of bounds they get it at there 35??Stupid call by the coaches there! Then the Halfback pass from the #21 running back was way in the air and tackle the guy before he catches it!Its a 15 yard penalty but then theyd had one more play from like the 15!Then the 2 point conversion wounded duck 2 Point conversion!Bishop ready had a horseshoe up their butt tonight, casue the grove outplayes them until the coaches fail to kick it out of bounds and then dont tell their kids to take the interference call!Very bad late game coaching!!Great games by Alex Bare and Jordan Beals!

Can't blame the kicker. He was two for two on extra points and kicked the ball off where he was told to. Completely agree with idea to kick it out of bounds and make Ready go 65 yards. Coal Grove has always put some reserve players on the kick off team. In that situation they should have put their best athletes on the field if they wanted to kick to Ready. Hats off to both teams. Kids played their hearts out. I don't think either team had a turnover. I feel really bad for this Hornet Junior and Senior class. They had alot of success playing together when they were in Middle School. Don't know what the problem is. Hope it gets figured out soon.

Good in theory to kick out of bounds, but Bishop Ready could have taken 5 yard penalty and made them re-kick and done it over and over until Ready got field position they wanted because the in-bounds spot for kick out of bounds adjusts for each re-kick.
