Very well done for Jeremy. Was this a co-mvp? Wondered about Harris from Athens or Arnold from NY.

Hum, seems I endured quite the backlash for predicting Jeremy Smith would win Offensive player of the year on a few threads throughout the season.
... I hate to say 'I told ya so' .... but I fought a pretty good argument on this one ... He had better 'overall' stats than anyone in the league; more touchdowns and he produced against the best teams in the Ohio ... He deserved the award.

im still curious as to what exactly qualified him over harris or arnold... 16 TD's only 3 ints and 1200 yards isnt too shabby, and neither is Arnold's many TD's and 1300 yards....
congrats to jeremy smith but id like to hear the reasoning behind this

He wont get 50 yards against us next year. The only thing achy breaky will be his heart when we shut him down. Dude doesn't work hard enough in the off season. Believe me cause I see it every day.

It was my understanding that the difference between Smith's yards and Arnold's yards were very very close but Smith had the touchdown advantage...and Harris's stats really arent that impressive

So I guess coaches shouldnt call the dogs off when he sets his back or QB in the 4th. Run him till the final whistle because it may cost him at the league meeting. Just so the coaches in the league know this ahead of time so there are no hard feelings when the other teams stud is racking up the yards for stats sake. This system is broken!
Re: Congrats Jeremy Smith of Meigs: TVC Ohio Offensive MVP!
if you think coach chancey run up scores then you can't be from here. that would never happen. the reason he would have more td's would be because jeremy was involved in the passing game and because he scored early in games. i am not dissing any other person but like i said jeremy was the engine for a really good O without him meigs would not have won 3 games.

I agree with fasteach...Meigs was in a battle in almost every game...they never ran up the score unless you count Belpre (but Meigs had like 4 different kids score which isnt padding an individual's stats)...Chauncey didnt leave him in to pad stats, he left him in there because he was the key to the offense and was a key factor in all the wins and a factor in keeping the loses close

Thank you, you made my point. While a couple of these teams won a league title And were way out ahead in a few games they didnt put up the stats they would have been able to if they had stayed in the game. While Smith got all the yards he could a couple young men may have missed out on a lot of stats because they played for a better team. As I said if you go on stats the system is wrong.
