Re: LOGAN 2010
Tee it up and kick it off. I think Logan will be better than a lot of people are expecting. Will there be a drop-off? I think so but you can't be on top every year. I see a 6-4 or 7-3 record and probably another SEOAL championship. But it may be awhile before Logan regains the level of prominence achieved the last three years. However, I do believe the die is cast and there will be athletes and coaches with the desire and the talent to drive this program to the next level. I bet no one thought Logan would ever have a QB or overall talent like the 2000 team, yet here we are celebrating perhaps one of the greatest runs of Logan football ever. Yea, they'll be back.

Re: LOGAN 2010
i think they'll win league ......i don't think they will dominate like they have in past seasons but what type of offense will they run next year, a spread or go back to i formation and more of running the ball and maybe use both quarterbacks jurgy and long at quarterback, im going to say 8-2 , 9-1 at best
Re: LOGAN 2010
We hear year after year about how horrible the Chiefs are going to be next year..and it hasn't happened yet. Could next year be the year it does? I have no clue..but it's definitely got to worry you with the amount of talent they are losing to graduation. But I'm starting to become a believer in the statement that "We don't rebuild, we reload." Hopefully this next group can have just as much, if not more success as the teams before them. Regardless..I'll still be supporting them through it all! I also see them at 8-2..7-3 at the worst IMO. How many starters do they return this year?
Re: LOGAN 2010
As long as the Logan coaching staff remains in place, they will continue to be good.
They may lose a couple games next year, but thats about it. 7 -3 at the worst, but
who knows? There are always players waiting for their chance. Competition for playing
time at all positions will make players better.....

Re: LOGAN 2010
I look for a 7-3 year at worst and good chance for an 8-2. Another SEOAL Championship ( possible Co-Champs next year) and playoffs for sure at 8-2 and maybe at 7-3. They won't be as good as this year, but they will still be a load for most teams on the schedule.
Re: LOGAN 2010
If the Chiefs can reload or retool in am of the opinion that they will finish 7-3 with a co championship and a possible shot at a #8 seed in the playoffs. Go Chiefs hit the weight room hard!
Re: LOGAN 2010
I think Logan will surprise some next year. This group has not had the "outstanding" athletics that the 2009 team had and they know they have to work hard and combine their strengths to achieve success. Thanks to the great team we had this year, the reserves got to see a lot of Friday night action and know what will be expected of them where many teams did not have that luxury. Lots of outstanding lettermen returning: Jurgy, Dement, Graham, Cavinee, Cook, and many others. Issac Lindsay is going to turn some heads, that kid is FAST! and I think Chandler will be a beast next year and Tim King has started OL since he was a Sophomore and has done a heck of a job and I look for him to go both ways next year and will contribute a ton. Team may not have the 'razzle-dazzle' as the 2009 team but they will be a hard working group of players and get the job done.

The basketball team will keep morale up so that it carries over to next season. We need to have a good football team to keep the players in shape for basketball.

Re: LOGAN 2010
Here's a quick look at the 2010 Chiefs:
Quarterback: 2010 will be the first time since 2004 that an Angle isn't at quarterback. But don't sleep on Jordan Jurgensmier. He obviously does not posess the super talent of Patrick Angle, but he had a great season with the JVs and played well when called upon in Varsity action.
Running Back: Look for this to be a position of strength again. Logan will be in some form of the "spread" in 2010, but I think Dylan Cavinee, Isaac Lindsey, and sophomore Corey McCarty (Sp?) are all going to big parts of the offense in the running game.
Receiver: Gone are Mays, McDaniel, Rutter, Swaim, and Sigler, but back are Brandon Graham, Lindsey, Cavinee, Kelly Long, Nate Poling, etc. The group may not have the top level talent of '08 and '09, but Lindsey has potential to be an absolute game breaker IMO.
Linemen: Back are Tim King and Tyler Dement. King, a 2-year starter already, was one of the league's top linemen in 2009. Replacing 3-year starter Bobby Russell at center will be a big challenge. Look for Clayton Kiger and Alex Schneider to be counted on to step up and fill out the line.
DEFENSE
Ends: Graham returns, but may be a linebacker. Nate Poling played well in limited action in '09. Finding a pass rusher (Poling?) and a pair to contain the outside running lanes will be key.
Tackles: Replacing McCray and Russell won't be easy, but Nathan Chandler played great during the playoff run and should be a solid starter. Look for Coy Blair to get a look at the 2nd tackle spot.
Noseguard: Dement is a returning starter.
Linebacker: Gone are Mays, Snider, and Angle but Graham (the teams 3rd leading tackler) is back.
Defensive Back: All 3 starters are gone, but Jurgensmier, Long, and Lindsey are three possible playmakers in the back end. Logan should be strong in the D-Backfield again in 2010.
