Valley has a good team this year. I think they will surprise alot of people this year. Coal Grove had their numbers the past few meetings. I think Valley comes out on top.

Valley felt like they let one get away from them last year up @ Grove.....this has developed into a nice little series....Valley is the team no one is really talking about, and thats a good thing.

Whoa! No one giving the Grove a chance early on! Valley returns a bunch of starters from last year if I'm not mistaken. Should be a good game. I always enjoy taking in a game at Lucasville's fine facilities.

I dont think that anyone really knows how good Valley is yet. They havent been tested at all the first two weeks between Rock Hill and Huntington Ross, both really weak teams. But Grove will make them show what they have this year.

If the Grove plays like they did the first 6 quarters of this season and they get the mistakes of the second half against Athens out of their heads they should win another close one against a really good Valley team.

I have to go with Valley on this one, but I think it will be very close. Valley has alot of experience, and some real good players. But CG always has alot of heart!!
But Valley has a big Chip on their shoulder, they were so close last year, in the CG game, and the SOC title. They don't want to come out on the short end again this year. So I think they will pull this one out.
Valley has a very strong team, and I think the only team that will beat them, will be a play-off team. And I don't think Coal Grove is a play-off team.

Valley should win at home. As long as the younger Lucas is a so called coach that leaves Coal Grove at a disadvantage against touger competition.

I think CG will defeat Valley in a close one again. Repeat of last year.

I have been able to see Burg, Oak Hill, West, Minford, Portsmouth, and Valley. I think from top to bottom that Valley has the best team. They have a very athletic secondary that is physical. The QB is very quick, makes good decisions, and has a strong arm. I look for Valley to beat Grove by at least 2-3 scores. I think CG's best bet is to try to control the tempo and not get into a scoring fest with this team.

Last year, Coal Grove held Valley under 100 yards rushing. The big plays came primarily from Valley's passing game. Utley threw for about 160 yards. Valley had about 250 yards of total offense. CG had over 400. If that happens again, Coal Grove will win again.

I'm going with Valley. Coal Grove has played two mediocre teams in Meigs & Athens from the TVC. The SOC is way better than the OVC IMO. Lucasville Valley 35 Coal Grove 14
