Gonna be yet another tough contest for wellston. But if they play hard could be a game they can win.

seen gallia play athens, gallia offence is huge with big backs but looked to me to be very slow.qb has good speed and shifty.kicker hit a 42 yarder in that game he has a strong kicking leg.defence looked fast and good they just wore down late in game from chasing that sharp kid around the whole game.this is a game wellston can win.wellston defence needs to keep up the good work, offence is starting to get better.good luck wellston.

Gallipolis beat Licking Heights (who've got speed and size) up here last night. They wore them down in the heat and won by 10. Wellston (to most people's surprise-including me) beat a decent Minford team. My prediction: Gallipolis 27 - Wellston 14.

After seeing Wellston play last week and seeing GA play both weeks, I'm optimistic. I think this will be a tough, physical game. GA has played teams the last two weeks that have great team speed and want to spread you out. That is definitely not their strength. Wellston didn't seem to me to be that kind of team. They seemed to be a more physical team than speed team. I think this plays to GA's strength and is a much better matchup for the Blue Devils. I expect them to have an easier time of it than their first two opponents.

I'm looking for Gragg to have an outstanding defensive game for GAHS. He played very well at LH. The longer the game went, the better he played. With the game Guisinger had at LH, Wellston will probably have something in their game plan to try and neutralize him. Gragg may be double teamed less and if so he will make them pay. If they continually double them both the LB's and DE's will have big games.
GO BLUE!!!!!

May be highlights from what I heard. I think the first game is going part of the rise up show that is going to show the new stadium.

I believe he was responding to the quote above about the game being on ESPN.

This should be a good game... I give the edge to Galia... I think Athens is better than I originally thought!

This could be a DANDY!
LH had an underachieving line! They didn't play hard (the 2 big boys)
GA QB is a Soph and a good one but at times last week he looked like a Soph?
GA don't handle fast QB's well.
GA real fast in the running back position but if Wellston tries to run up the GUT on them GA will win.
Wel. Must make the big slow D- linemen chase all night like Athens did.

I see Blue Devils 24- Wellston 18

Dave Tawney missed his ride to Pataskala last Friday, thus no one was on hand to film the contest. Coach Eddy said they will contact LHHS officials Tuesday to send GAHS a copy of the game film.

We won't have the defensive plays until next Sunday, thus we'll have Licking Hts. and Wellston games on Sept. 11.
