Paladin's Pigskin Picks --Wk 12

Post by Chieftain »

The weenies who made the playoffs have been whipped and we are down to better teams now. Many of these games will be competitive & close. Picks are now at 52-17. This week I got 15 games, all divisions, all areas of the state. The match-ups --

D-I
Cleveland Glenville vs Lakewood St. Eds --Eds is loaded with big OL & DL, skill & speed. So is Glenville. The Eagles played the far better schedule -- ST. ED'S

Pickerington Central vs Westerville South -- a mismatch -- PICK CENTRAL

D-II
Mentor Lake Catholic vs Warren Howland -- Cougars should make short work of the Tigers --MENTOR LAKE

Sandusky vs Maple Hts -- Maple has too much speed -- MAPLE HTS.

Tri-Valley vs Uniontown Lake-- serious mismatch --LAKE

D-III
Columbus Watterson vs Elida -- Eagles D too tough -- WATTERSON

Dover vs Sheridan -- In a close one --SHERIDAN

D-IV
Heath vs Columbus Hartley -- Another close game -- HEATH

Jonathan Alder vs Kettering Alter --Great match-up -- ALTER

Akron Manchester vs Campbell Memorial -- chess match -- MANCHESTER

D-V
Youngstown Ursuline vs Creston Norwayne -- mismatch -- URSULINE

Fredericktown vs Wheelersburg -- Freddies on a roll -- FREDERICKTOWN

Oak Hill vs Minford -- ugly game someone has to win -- OAK HILL

D-VI
Shadyside vs Malvern --Tigers should kick butt -- SHADYSIDE

Delphos St. John vs Ada -- Blue Jays in a laugher -- ST. JOHN

Statewide all games there may be some surprises. Several teams got injuries last game and will be missing good players. The weaker regions still have some weak teams facing later blow-outs in mismatches with better teams. My local area still has a large number of teams still in. Several local state champ possibilities . I'll take in the Chagrin Falls- Cortland Lakeview game Friday and then Saturday the Solon -Fitch game, with the YSU game first. lol Good weather up here !

I dont think you need to pick Ursuline every week!

I agree with a lot of these. Would like to see your thoughts on Ironton, but its understandable you dont include them.

Hopefully, Burg pulls out a win.

Who does Logan play this week?

Oh, I forgot, its week 12.

And take your comments "ugly game someone has to win" and cram them up your behind sideways.

You need another swig of that Haterade. You are a joke! No wonder they ran you out of Logan!

I like how you picked all the easy games too. Just like Logan schedules. As long as it looks good on paper, right Paladin?

Red, I usually let a punk like you run his mouth. Most see you for what you are.

As for the games, many see Glenville-Eds, Dover -Sheridan, Oak-Minford,Alder - Alter, Heath-Hartly,Manchester -Campbell, etc as close games. BTW, no one in the state is mistaking any game in SEO as a focal point or important in the grand scheme of things. Thats just the way it is. No one gets excited about weak teams.

And for you clowns on the river, no one ran me out of town. You dudes can't even lie straight anymore. I went on to bigger & better things as I wanted more than Logan offered. I visit several times a year with friends & family where I'm always welcome. The envy shows for many of the "riverrats". Often confused with Chieftain envy, its hilarious how folks go out of their way to make a thread about them instead, when in fact --

NO ONE CARES.

Go see if you can get the school kids to give up their lunch money to you, punk !

Thread is about picks and people go out of their way to change it.
Comments should be on if you agree or not and why.
No one will get under Paladin's skin--but the new ones haven't figured that out yet.

Alway interesting to see why you pick a certain team

He11, I'm sweating it this week, noreply, lol. Many of the games are toss-ups. Many see Dover who beat Steubenville as better than Sheridan. Close game. Glenville -Eds, close game, etc. I just try to pick winners. I'll see two that should be very close this week ...... Chagrin Falls -Cortland Lakeview and Solon - Fitch. All are loaded with athletes.

BTW, who were some of those "weenies" who got whipped in the first game ? Steubenville, Massillon (lol), Canton McKinley, Cincinnati Moeller and eight #1 seeds. While my choices to win titles are all still in place, two of my choices are in close competitive games this week-- Alter with Alder and St. Eds with Glenville. In addition, several #1 seeds are in danger of going down again.

Really, where are these people at? Not any forum I have seen. Chances are, it's people who haven't seen both(I have, multiple times in fact) & Sheridan is at least 2-3 TD's better than Dover. Yes, they beat Big Red, who is down this year compared to their own standards. Though, I look for the score to be 42-28 with the game never in doubt.

Sheridan is my pick but if they don't get to the Dover QB, the pass game will keep the Tornados in it. And it won't have to be the long ball. A short pass control game will allow Dover to stay with them. Short timing patterns are difficult to stop.

Why does it matter if he calls the Oak Hill - Minford game a stinker? It will be a good game for this area. But you are also in D-5 and Ursuline will be waiting to shove their feet up your backside sideways. If they play anyone from SE Ohio it will be better known as the worlds worst stinker.

I really like Paladins look at all the games and his picks. He never is biased towards anyone and just calls it as he sees it with no sugarcoating. Some of you can't handle that because he picks against your team or says something negative about them and to that I say grow up, it's not the end of the world as you know it.

And by the way, compared to Ursuline all of SE Ohio is weenies. Nobody in this part of the state wants a piece of them.

No, you are incorrect. You can pick teams and call it like you see it. When you belittle HIGH SCHOOL football programs, which he always does to southern teams, it shows a lack of character.

There is a difference in being honest and being mean. He needs to learn it before someone teaches it to him.
