WK 10: River (8-1) @ Frontier (3-6)
Two old rivals meet. River has slim shot at home game in playoffs, but a 'W' should get Pilots in.
Frontier having a down season under a new coach but could play role of spoiler in a big way.

Love to see Frontier pull off the upset. Maybe in the playoff picture River could be reunited with some of its old PVC teams. Talk about Karma.

Haha would love a Fort Frye vs River game but not sure Frontier can pull this out. I'm sure out of all the teams River probably wants Fort also though.

Give the ball to #5 early and take care of the ball.
No retaliating when the goons start the cheap shots.

River left the PVC to play a bunch of WV schools and other weak small ohio schools. Can't hate the player the schedule is getting them to the playoffs.

I believe River left the PVC because the majority of River fans don't give a hoot about the PVC and the travel and the new A.D. wanted a more drive-friendly schedule. Next year when Pilots add Bellaire in the opener. Not sure they play Eastern again. Hope they get a shot at Fort Frye.

Re: WK 10: River (8-1) @ Frontier (3-6)
River left the PVC because of boys basketball and baseball. But it's also an crappy and unnecessary drive.
Tyler wasa great pickup because they are D5, wins games, close, and typically a win for River. Paden City is 5 miles away, no problem there. Playing Eastern makes sense in retrospect because of how young River was, and Lutheran East was supposed to be Beallsville, until the school district screwed them over.
If anyone needs dropped its Frontier because of the nonsense that their people and kids exhibit every year this week.
Any schedule that not only gets you in the playoffs, but a shot at a home game, is good enough.

Well said RiverboatGambler. It's more of a Dramamine conference with that travel.
River's schedule will be even better next year with Bellaire coming on for 2-year deal.
Not sure if Eastern is on schedule.
Frontier showing their ignorance again? I know they paint over the rocks, but what else?

The rock ticks off the students. I don't care about the rock, it's fair game. The nonsense I'm talking about is the constant spray painting of male body parts on route 7 and crap on school property.

RiverboatGambler must be familiar with the River situation. Well said on all posts.

Not much to do in Frontier I take it?
Please excuse my ignorance, but what counties are these schools in?

Re: WK 10: River (8-1) @ Frontier (3-6)
Frontier has had double digit kids thrown out of games against River since the year River entered the PVC. Every time their kid has left the field to the fans cheering for them.
I guess they are trying to force a rivalry, but that's never going to happen. The two or three schools River is rivals with, legitimate rivals with, are school where the kids are actually friends off the field. With Frontier there is no association with one another, and when there is, it's not good.

Frontier has had twice as many kids ejected from the games over that time period than wins. Classy group.
River beat Beallsville in the '07 playoffs, lost to Shadyside.

Thanks Gambler, how could I forget. That Beallsville game was one of the best home playoff games ever.
Tied 14-all late then Jordan Clegg busts one up the middle for 50 yards to win the game in the final minute.
