Belpre Football 2011
Belpre Football 2011
I believe this year should be quiet interesting.
As some of you may know, Belpre has recently built a new weightlifting facility.
Now, under and upperclassmen are working harder than ever in the weight room.
I ask fans and supporters to never give up and know that our team has become like one big family, and this year we are going to try harder than ever to get more than 1 or 2 wins.
With that, who do you think some of the key players will be this year in the running and passing game? Also O line and Defense.

Re: Belpre Football 2011
I would like to see Belpre add Nelsonville-York back to the schedule as a non-league game. Hope it happens sometime soon!
Good luck to Belpre in 2011!

Re: Belpre Football 2011
it's that time of year again. kickoff will soon be here. i believe the non-league schedule for belpre is a week one trip to paint valley and week two is the home opener vs. fort frye. very excited to get back into football mode after a long hiatus. here's hoping for a successful and injury free 2011 golden eagle gridiron campaign!
go eagles!
go eagles!

Re: Belpre Football 2011
Looks like the Belpre-Warren game has finally come to an end. Did both schools decide to drop this game or did one school decide not to renew?
Local rivalries are needed, especially in this economy. Brings out the fans. Too bad that game had to end.

Re: Belpre Football 2011
Belpre ended the series after its 50th anniversary, because they didn't feel they were competitive anymore. Warren and Belpre will be playing their Jamboree scrimmages against each other for the forseeable future, I do believe, to try to keep the great gate, great atmosphere, and a little of the tradition. Talk is that Belpre feels like they cant afford to start 5 of every 6 years at 0-1 right now, and after their program is built back up in the TVC-Hocking, maybe it can be renewed as a regular season game again.
Re: Belpre Football 2011
Belpre and Warren will not be playing a Jamboree game. Warren decided that since Belpre felt they were too small to play a regular season game against Warren, then Belpre was too small to scrimmage against. I think Warren scheduled Herbert Hoover High (AA) of WV instead.
The big keys for Belpre this year, IMO, will be the line play on both sides of the ball and the defense. These areas will have to be successful to help out the offense which lost most of their skilled players.
Looking forward to Belpre football this fall.
LETS GO EAGLES!!!

Re: Belpre Football 2011
how has the team looked in 7 on 7? i haven't been able to make it out and see them.
Re: Belpre Football 2011
Best of luck to Belpre football, I will be out supporting the team! Hard to lose Erik Waderker, heard he is going to Akron to return kicks and play some special teams?
Re: Belpre Football 2011
I don't think Steven Francis is playing football. I don't know about Wes Hatfield, I doubt he will transfer, and Jake Ullman WILL NOT transfer, because Thornhill was just named basketball coach, but I heard Jake isn't playing football.DUNK1 wrote:I heard some of these names may be transferring to fed hock to play for my boy.EasternDspy wrote:Sr-Wes Hatfield will probably be FB.Jakie Ullman SO at QB.Steven Francis should help.Week 2 FF kids are going to give it to Belpre.
