1. Wahama well above all the rest.

A very distant 2. Trimble

Way behind:

Everyone else

Get use to this. Superior talent and coaching will keep Wahama at the top for a long time to come. Well, until everyone gets tired of losing to Wahama and they kick them out that is.

Yes Wahama dominates again. None of the rest matters unless you care about making the playoffs only to get blown out in round 1. Wahama will just keep reloading. I wonder how it feels in Glouster to be the number two guy on the block.

Everyone always wants to bust West Virginia schools chops because of Ohio being so much better in sports overall (and they should be by population and school sizes alone) but when a WV school gets in an Ohio league and wins, that only tells me one thing : Southeastern Ohio teams are on the same level as WV schools of the same size and are usually way behind schools in central, northern and western ohio of the same size come tournament time. The proof is in the pudding whether you want to believe it or not, any sport boys or girls.

I believe that some of the schools in southeastern ohio you are right about, but not all of them. Their isn't much difference in athletic ability, culturally, and socially my goodness we are only separated by a river. I think its great when Wahama and Point make it to the state tournaments and championships, but their is know way they could do what they do year in and year out in ohio. They would do exactly what the southeastern ohio teams do make it to the playoffs and lose in the 1st or 2nd round. I don't root against them I hope the do win a state championship, but realistically they wouldn't come close to one in ohio.

Wasnt that close. You got yer only score handed to you becuase we didnt take care of the rock and because we got a little republican in our playcalling in the second half. I will give credit where its due. Trimble was the second best team we played. If we had played them late in the year we would have blown them out bad.

again,,,dont think so!!!! all teams improve as the season goes on. maybe they should work the schedule around in the future to make this match up the last game on the schedule..wouldnt that be an interesting game every year???

the only way it would be the same is if wahama players started selling their TVC champion patches or traded their autographs for free milk in the lunch line..lol

I heard they're already doing that in the Wal-Mart parking lot on the weekends. That's where everyone get's together now you know.

Wahama is by far the largest school in the Hocking and prob should be moved to the Ohio.

Yes I see what you are saying and this is a lot like Groveport-Madison. They don't compete well in the playoffs, or when they face other teams of their size out of the area. This also means that Trimble may have been able to make it to the state finals in WV since they played Wahama so close.

Wahama is about the size of Trimble. Belpre is the largest school in the Hocking and Federal Hocking is second. The "official number" Ohio puts out is boys in grades 9-11 and then that figure is used for the following school year. WV does it a little differently, so you have to convert the WV figures into Ohio numbers, which puts Wahama at about the size of Trimble, at least that is where it was when Wahama joined the TVC. I'm wanting to say that WV does not seperate boys and girls in their figures, but I can't remember if that is what makes it different from Ohio or not.

Well according to wv state site http://nces.ed.gov/ccd/schoolsearch/sch ... 0078000630
Wahama has 272 students
Trimble has 237
Sg 209
Belpre 258
Eastern 193
Miller 189
This was discussed in another thread. They are a good bit bigger than everyone.

Southern 156

If that counts freshmen then the numbers are about the same since OHSAA numbers do not count freshmen.

That is correct. The numbers on the above mentioned website include grades 9-12 which is one less class than Ohio goes by when figuring numbers. The total number at the bottom of the website is for both male/female. The WV website similar to OHSAA is WVSSAC.org and the enrollment on there includes grades 7-12 for Wahama which is why they're referred to in most publications and on websites as Wahama Jr-Sr High School.

[/b] Hey Juvenile, not so fast my friend. Wahama will beat Trimble in just about everything including tiddly winks at this point in time. As for the G-M comment above, just in the past year we've won the OCC Softball title (with a 1st team all-Ohio pitcher), a Dance team state championship and the State Lifeguard championship (Yes, we swim also). In the not so distant past we've had multiple all-state player's in different sports, state champion band and flag corps, playoff football teams, regional caliber baseball teams, a state champion wrestler, 3 state championships in swimming, a state champion golfer, multiple state championships in track & field along with player's in the NBA, NFL, Pro tennis and DI College football (remember QB Tony Lowery for Wisconsin beating OSU). So all is not lost just because G-M plays DI sports in the OCC in and around C-bus which is a very fine league I might add.
