Re: 2011 SEOAL Previews: Logan Chieftains
Here is my first preview for 2011.
A lot of this is based off of my notes from last year. I haven't been down to see this years team at all yet - so some of these guys may not be playing. I tried to focus on Jrs and Srs, although I think there are a few sophomores who are going to work their way into the line-up.
Please feel free to correct me or let me know your thoughts.

I have been watching the boys all summer. Though I don't know a whole lot about football. I can see Brock Emerson getting a bit of Varsity playing time
Re: 2011 SEOAL Previews: Logan Chieftains
Jourdan isn't playing, I saw him walking in the stands last night.

Locos, glad to see you getting ready for another year of SEOAL football. My blood is festering and getting ready to go. Maybe Ill see you this year as Logan is the best case senario for a road trip for me

If I were Logan, I'd worry more about kick coverage ....moonshine wrote:What no place kicker or punter special teams is a must!

Re: 2011 SEOAL Previews: Logan Chieftains
Made some updates after getting the roster.
Here are my biggest questions regarding personnel entering 2011:
OFFENSE
1) Who is the number 2 and 3 receiver?
2) Who plays where on the O-Line?
3) Who is the #2 running back?
DEFENSE
1) Who are the ends if Sharb moves out to linebacker?
2) Who plays with Paul Wesselhoeft on the interior line?
3) Who are the linebackers with Sharb?
4) Who is the free safety?
And finally: Who is going to kick? I know P. Wesselhoeft is a capable punter.

From the weights listed in the preview, the O-line looks a little undersized. Are those weights correct?

Re: 2011 SEOAL Previews: Logan Chieftains
I thought Logan competed well last night. Qb throws a nice ball and the rb #24 ran it well. Sheridan has really good skill kids and not much of a line at this point, I know they still won but I think Logan will win some ball games this year.
Re: 2011 SEOAL Previews: Logan Chieftains
Good quick review, I noticed Sheridan was not quite as far along as last year due to losing a number of outstanding players! Sheridan will finish in the upper part of the MVL proberly 3rd place. Logan, well we must tighten up our defence to many missed tackles and big plays. as far as where Logan will wind up it is still to early to perdict. I will say the first 5 games are going to be very tough. Stay tune!newlex/sheridan wrote:I thought Logan competed well last night. Qb throws a nice ball and the rb #24 ran it well.
