I don't see them playing regular season anytime in the future. The scrimmage will be as close as they come to playing each other.

and I wonder how long this will last if Ironton keeps losing players to injury during this game.tigercannon71 wrote:I don't see them playing regular season anytime in the future. The scrimmage will be as close as they come to playing each other.

Very true.

This is a game that will be played in the regular season - and be very competitive - definitely within 10 years.

Re: Coal Grove Ironton
I think it is silly that these teams dont already play each other.
For one, they are 4 miles apart. Secondly, Ironton is open on their scheduling after leaving the SEOAL and thirdly hasnt CG had only 9 games scheduled the past couple years?
As travel rates increase these 2 schools would have a good gate with little travel involved. Most years they are both in the hunt for playoff points and only separated by one division. Seems like a no brainer to me.

With all the closeness they are still miles apart. Even during the scrimmages Irontons putting 35 or more up regularly on them.
Re: Coal Grove Ironton
I think coal grove would be a better fit than oak hill, and i'm not putting oak hill down. I just think year in and year out the grove is a better team. jmo.
