What a great game by both Valley and Minford! I am not sure that the best team won tonight, but a win is a win and a loss is a loss. Congrats to the Back to Back SOC II Champions Valley Indians! Good luck to both teams in the playoffs.

I think the best team won...its just a rivalry game between 2 really good teams. Being 10-0, beating Burg (who beat Minford) and beating Minford (who was playing for everything) shows Valley is the best team in the SOC 2.

Minford is right there, however...and I expect 1-2 playoff wins. GO GET EM SOC!!

The SOC II will be well represented by 3 very good football teams and hopefully we will be watching them for many weeks to come! Now that the season is over and the boys can quit beating on each other, it's time that we support all 3 and make some noise from Southern Ohio!! Let's go Minford, Valley and Burg!! :aaaaa41

Has anyone started the math to get an early peak at possible matchups?

I am assuming Nelsonville York will be at Valley

Congrats to Valley. They made plays when they needed to and ate up the clock. Minford sort of self destructed with the int in the end zone and the fumble in the end zone. Those turnovers proved to make a huge difference in the game.

Minford needs to have a selective memory and get ready for week 11. They will be fine if they take care of the ball.

On a side note, I thought #51 is a heck of a lineman for Valley and #75 for Minford showed why he is a high profile lineman as he controlled his side of the line all night. Those were 2 good lineman going at each other nearly all game.

Good luck to Valley next week.

I think it may be Coal Grove coming to Lucasville, again.

Out of curiousity, did any of our posters on here purchase a program tonight at the game and see the page highlighting the Valley-Minford All-Time series? I know the two guys responsible for looking that information up put in a lot of hours gathering the history of Valley football and wanted to showcase this excellent rivalry tonight prior to releasing all of the information they looked up and pieced together. 8)

Tonight was a good night for football in Lucasville. Minford sounded like a couple of drives at the goal stalled on miscues. Both teams will represent Scioto County in the playoffs along with Wheelersburg. Also area wise Oak Hill, Symmes Valley, Piketon and Ironton look to be playoff bound.
