MATCHUPS YOU'D LIKE TO SEE FOR YOUR SCHOOL

Post by YOU'RE TIGER BAIT »

WHAT ARE SOME MATCHUPS YOU'D LIKE TO SEE FOR YOUR HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL TEAM
WHETHER IT'S 2 TEAMS THAT NEVER PLAYED-------RIVALRIES RENEWED---------OR A GRUDGE MATCH

I know they are long trips, but for ironton I'd like to see games back with belfry, ky---logan, ohio----and Athens, ohio. I liked the games we always played with the large AAA teams out of west va.
hard to believe the blue devils from the French city dropped us, I'd like to see that renewed.

western brown has a good program going on, I'd like to try them on.
Vinton county is another ole playoff foe.------------I always loved the games with Columbus desales. although we only beat them a few times, those were wars,it seemed like ironton led every year late in the game, and just ran out of gas, they just had too many fresh horses.they can bring in 11 fresh anytime they want, and never miss a beat.we played them for many years.

I always wanted to get my paws wrapped back around beechwood, ky. that was an awesome game. I think it ended 7-6 beechwood. but they only got 1/2 game in before the transformers blew out.ironton was coming on strong, and then the game was held up while they changed a transformer. ironton offered to put them up in a hotel, feed them and everything to play the other half. they pulled their panties off and left. we later found out that a lead apparently at halftime was considered a win in ky.

I like that meigs and Jackson are back on board. Jackson means a possible trip to larosa's pizza. and meigs means a steak at the wild horse.

I'd also like to see ironton and Chillicothe back at it. that's a game that needs played.i think the ovc is in for a rude awakening. the schedule ironton carries year in and out will pay strong dividends when the play ovc teams. I know ironton's program is down right now, but they'll be back.it will force the ovc to schedule better. and do nothing but elevate the playing level and success of the ovc. fairland and coal grove are both playing good ball consistently now. and south point has been improving.

I would like to see NY play Ironton, Jackson, Oak Hill. Maybe not year in and year out but on a rotating basis or something.

I would also like to see us play Gallia Academy in all sports.

For Coal Grove I would like to see yearly matchups with Symmes Valley.
I put the Vikings in the same boat with Ironton when it comes to Coal Grove playing them, they are to close to us to not be on the schedule.

I agree 100%! Gallia Academy is the only former SEOAL rival that NY has not played in football since leaving the SEOAL. The last game in the series came in the 1969 season - 45 years ago. They played each other every year prior to that.

Jackson was on the schedule a few times in the early/mid 90's in football, but none since then.

Logan has always been on again, off again, mostly on again since those days.

And of course Warren was a TVC rival that NY played every year from 1967-1985, with the first three years being non-conference games when NY was still in the SEOAL. Warren has not been on the football schedule since.

Even if it's not every year, I would love to see Gallia/Jackson/Warren on a rotating basis. I'd like to see Logan more than that and hope that series continues on in the future.

For Oak Hill, I would like to see Waverly on the schedule. Also, Wellston will be off the schedule after 2014 due to what was described as scheduling conflicts. I think this game should be played every year.

I would like for Logan Elm and Logan play.......Chief Logan would surely cause a few turn over in this one.

I can hear drum beating now as both bands sit quiet. The smell of wood burning and no fire. The sound of hoofs and no horses.

Having played against the likes of Smathers and Woodson, during the 70's , I too would like to see that matchup. Even though my Warriors have struggled for some time now . The Buckeyes have always had a top notch program. Sure miss those early days of the T V C . GO BLUE !!

WAHAMA VS. MEIGS!

Maraudernation currently has lots of excuses for not playing. All of them are tired and lame. We have new administrators and a new coach. Its time to make this thing happen.
