Surprises: Vinton County(schedule?), and Logan (yeah, considering 1st year coach, injuries and schedule)
Disappointments: Jackson(I think they were better in younger grades), and Nelsonville (Huge, deep linemen corps+decent QB)

Meigs should not be a surprise. I knew 2 years ago they were coming and anyone who didn't have there head stuck in the sand knew coming into this year that they would make a lot of noise.

I don't get to see much of them, just what I read on here and from some parents that I work with.

The most disappointing thing I have seen this year is Southerns PA guy not announcing the score when the Tornadoes are behind.

Hannibal River has been the most disappointing after the newspaper predicted a 7-3 season.

HOWEVER.

After losing it's first 5 games, River should finish 5-5 and kick itself for losing close to D6 Fort Frye (23-17) in the opener costing the Pilots a playoff spot.

so disappointing for an 0-5 start, but WILL finish 5-5 in what appears to be final season in PVC.

Disappointment -( PVC)it's so bad Fort Frye could go 9-1 and be left out of the watered down playoff season. I projected Cadets to go 8-2 and make playoffs but teams like Belpre, River , and Rosecrans have hurt them.

Impressed by- Trimble and Athens. Both ranked #4 in State..but not sure how high Trimble would be with only 6 divisions.
Disappointed in Ironton and Nelsonville- York. You just don't ever think these teams would have loosing seasons. At NY the seniors have been disappointing the numbers are down and last years coaching staff would have done more with this team.

Wahama only lost 3 starters on offense and 3 on defense from a state championship team. They are up again as everyone expected. Everyone at Trimble at least knew they were going to be in a war week 2 and thats exactly what it was. Both teams knocked the snot out of each other. I hope wahama wins it all again in WV.

As far as Trimble not being rated high if there were only 6 divisions???????
Division 7 is basically the same teams that were 6 last year. Not to many changes from 6 to 7 if you go back and look from last year. They might not be 4 but would still be above 6. They did play the state runner up down to the wire and had a chance to win it in the late 4th Quarter.
Just my thoughts.

I'm a bit confused by this You are impressed with Fairland and Portsmouth and disappointed with West. 2 of West's 3 losses were to Fairland and Portsmouth the other being to the defending regional champs. Portsmouth has 2 wins, they beat West by 7 and Ironton by 13. Both teams you are disappointed in. They got blew out by Minford the same team West just beat. I know this is individual opinions here but this one was pretty hard to swallow.
