I figure Piketon takes this one by a wide margin, somewhere in the neighborhood of 30 or more.

Huntington seemed to be turning things around 5-5 last season and now back to dropping games, all games so far this season.

What has made this losing trend start again.

The other team scoring more points... LOL

Just kidding with that statement... there is a lot of variables that go into the losing streak starting again! One, the loss of several seniors, in crucial positions from last year (QB, RB, WR, OL/DL, just to mention a few). Two, the change in coaching staff with a completely different philosophy, both offensively and defensively. Three, going from 58 kids on the roster a year ago to 27 on the roster this season.

All of these are contributing factors to the decline from last season and with only 27 kids on the roster this season, it may be a while before a winning, or even mediocre season, happens in the township again! As a diehard Huntsmen, it would be easy to bash the new coaching staff or to place blame on the change in coaching! However, I believe the key to success is in numbers, numbers, numbers! Your athletes have to be on the field for any program to have success. In saying that, I will close with this... the current coaching staff has to find a way to get numbers in our program and get the athletes in the stands on the field if they are ever going to experience any level of success in a program that has historically had limited success at best!

I really think this Huntsmen team is limited in what they can do. When the new coach was brought in the last day of school last year I think it was hard for him to build that relationship with the kids that were on fence. I really believe they will have a lot more kids next year. They are getting better every week and maybe for the first time this season that coaches and players are on the same page. If huntington is ever going to be successful they need a coach to stay for a long period of time

Redstreaks roll in this one. Good luck to both teams.

I couldn't agree more... I think the current coach was put in a very difficult situation (at best) with him not having any relationship with the kids before the summer! I do believe we are getting better, but as I said before, numbers are the key to success! I think we do need a coach to stay for an extended period of time to build a PROGRAM, rather than just having the occasional successful season. I believe it can be done, but you must find a way to change the atmosphere to make kids want to play! I am in no way talking negatively of the current coach or his staff, I think we are improving (as I previously stated)! Just making the point that no program will ever have continued success with 27 kids on the roster! Not pretending that I know the answer to getting more kids out, just stating that this is the first thing you have to address in order to build on any past success and build a program for the future.
