Re: State Championships Game Schedule
Two things I see off the bat.
I see Coldwater laying the Smackdown on CCC again this year.
Marion Local will ROLL Kirtland.
Both games get Ugly very quickly.

I just have a feeling Kirtland is going to beat MSML. They are at their 5th straight title game and got upset last year by a much weaker team

D3 last yearYOU'RE TIGER BAIT wrote:AT LEAST 7 PRIVATE SCHOOLS== CURIOUS AS TO THE BREAKDOWN PUBLICS VS. PRIVATE SCOOLS.BUT I'VE BEAT THAT HORSE TO DEATH, JUST CURIOUS IS ALL.
Athens vs Desales
Hubbard vs Akron SVSM
Trotwood vs Wapakonets
TCC vs Clyde
Athens vs SVSM
TCC vs Trotwood
Athens vs TCC
D3 this year
Jackson vs Zanesville
Hoban vs Akron SVSM
TCC vs Beannies
Trotwood vs Wapakonets
Zanesville vs Hoban
TCC vs Trotwood
TCC vs Hoban
Pretty much it's a catholic party and Beannies joined the show. We need Alter, LaSalle, and Bishop Fenwick in D3. Then the Catholic vs Public is solved. All in D3

Re: State Championships Game Schedule
Two big differences that further the competitive divide between DeSales (to use as an example) and the typical D3 public school football program:
a class at DeSales can bring in 25+ kids that grew up playing football, 95% of whom go through the Catholic grade school system and play on their respective CYO middle school/junior high teams, in many cases 3-4 different parish-based teams (de facto junior highs) feed into DeSales (average roster would be 20 or so, often combined between grades... typical D3 publics only operate one junior high. The other difference is there are pressures put on by the tuition paying families for the private school (DeSales) to offer the best programs academically and athletically and get the best coaching possible, as education in all arenas (public, private, and charter... but specifically private) is influenced by market factors and choice. D3 public school, often found in the outer rings or in the country, you have to take what you can get.

The problem is you say you've beat that horse to death, yet you were wrong in your facts of beating the horse. The lineup is above you it was an easy fact check. And the tide has turned in recent years back away from private school dominance in the divisions that they have dominated.

Re: State Championships Game Schedule
Well here is what I think will happen in the play off championship games. It will be 3 private schools that win and 4 public schools will win.
Private schools will be Hoban, La Salle and St Ed. Public schools will be CH20, Mogadore, Marion Local and the Big Red. Would love to see Wyne upset St. Ed. that would be great. Mogadore and Ft. Recovery will be a good game. Seen Mogadore play Tallmadge in a preseason game. That was a Div 7 playing a Div 2 school and it was not close with Mogadore winning. They also have won state title before. Glad to be back in the States after missing six weeks of HS Football. Had to listen to the games that I could get in Thailand. Hope everyone has a great weekend of HS Championship Football and a Merry Christmas.
